In today’s news, Korea provides aid for Afghan children, United States health authority recognizes the possibility of aerosol transmission of COVID-19, leading Japanese motorcycle manufacturers collaborate on electric motorcycle development, Spanish study finds highly processed foods speed cellular aging, all-women firefighting crew assembled in Florida, USA, vegan ice cream selections increasing, and Uganda sees large increase in mountain gorilla population.

Korea supports the well-being of children in Afghanistan.

Through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), a contribution of US$2 million from the Republic of Korea, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, will fund a diverse humanitarian aid project. It will help to provide enhanced access to services in the areas of child protection, health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), nutrition and education, for 30,000 individuals in the provinces of Daikundi, Herat, Balkh, and Nangarhar for 12 months. Additionally, re-integration services will assist children recovering from conflict-related situations as they prepare to resume their normal lives in their communities. Long-term capacity building of government institutions will also be aided as well as increased community participation. Our sincere appreciation, Korea, for your caring generosity, and United Nations Children’s Fund, for your ongoing benevolent efforts. In Allah’s boundless blessing, may the fine people of Afghanistan greet a bright future.

United States health officials broaden COVID-19 guidelines, updating transmission by air.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued new guidelines stating that the novel coronavirus can be transmitted by tiny particles that stay in the air. Although bigger droplets from coughs, sneezes and talking are the main source, the inclusion of aerosol transmission reflects known cases whereby individuals became infected in poorly ventilated and enclosed spaces, often involving heavy breathing through activities like singing or exercise. The shifting of the guidelines implies that people should continue to practice social distancing with a minimum of two meters, wear masks, wash hands, have proper ventilation and limit the number of people in indoor spaces. Our earnest thanks, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for helping to protect precious lives. May all individuals work together to safeguard each other, in Heaven’s care.

Up next, leading Japanese motorcycle manufacturers team up on battery technology. We’ll now spend some time to thank developmental pediatricians who specialize in diagnosing and treating concerns related to child and adolescent development. However, you can experiment with other greens such as cilantro, mint, parsley, arugula, fennel fronds, winter greens, and even vegetables to make an excellent, unique pesto sauce! Delicious and versatile, it can be used as a standalone dipping sauce, or eaten with pasta, bread, or veggies. Store your pesto in the freezer for a convenient, ready-to-use supply. Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world!

Japan’s four largest motorcycle companies collaborate on electric technology.

Japan’s four leading motorcycle companies, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Motor, are working together to speed up the development of electric motorbikes. The quartet has launched a testing trial in cooperation with Osaka University called e-Yan OSAKA, which will last about a year. With students and staff of the university trying out the electric bikes and battery swap stations on campus and at local convenience stores, it will help the companies develop standards for swappable batteries that could function between all models and be removed from the bike to be charged. Way to go, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Motor, on your friendly cooperative effort to encourage electric motorcycles. Wishing your favorable results that will lead to a new era of green transportation, in the grace of the Providence.

Ultra-processed food consumption associated with biological aging.

Researchers led by Dr. Maira Bes-Rastrollo and Dr. Amelia Marti, both from the University of Navarra in Spain, found that telomeres, located at the end of chromosomes, are twice as likely to be shortened for people who consume more than three servings of ultra-processed food (UPF) a day, compared to those who rarely eat them. This reduced telomere length indicates cell aging. The study tracked almost 900 participants who had given DNA samples in 2008, as well as regular data about their eating habits, which included UPFs. UPFs consist of many industrial formulations of substances composed of oils, fats, sugars, starch and protein, and frequently contain additives like artificial colors and flavors. Earlier research has also linked UPFs with chronic diseases including hypertension, obesity, depression, type 2 diabetes, and several cancers. Many thanks, Dr. Maira Bes-Rastrollo, Dr. Amelia Marti, and co-researchers, for your eye-opening findings. May we all consciously choose nutritious, organic plant-based foods for robust well-being, in Mother Earth’s merciful embrace.

Up next on Noteworthy News, vegan ice cream selections increasing. We are going to pause for a moment to pray for all fur trade to stop and for animals to be able to roam freely in their natural habitats. We’ll return with more gratifying news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Positive News for a Better World.

Vegan ice cream sees a cool 100% growth in product launches.

The number of new vegan ice creams introduced in the last 12 months was more than double the 2015/16 rate, according to findings from Mintel, a United Kingdom-based market research firm. Vegan ice cream launches now make up seven percent of the category, with 13% of the new products being premium offerings with additional textures such as vegan cookie pieces, chocolate chunks, and toffee. The top three most popular vegan ice cream flavors were chocolate, vanilla and coconut. Also, many well-known brands such as Ben & Jerry’s have released plant-based offerings. Thank you, Mintel, for researching the exceptional growth of plant-based ice creams. May the appealing taste and plant-based ingredients bring happiness to the palates of all who make the healthy and kind decision to consume vegan fare, in Celestial delight.

Uganda sees large increase in mountain gorilla population.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority recently announced the birth of eight baby gorillas, indicating conservation efforts have led to the gorillas feeling a sense of security. Seven of the infants were in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and one in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park that borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. Conservation activities undertaken include 24/7 monitoring of the gorillas, veterinary care available at all times, anti-poaching patrols and more. With a little more than 1,000 members of their species worldwide, mountain gorillas are classified as endangered. Uganda is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Our hearts are gladdened with joy at the news of the newborn mountain gorillas, Uganda. We are grateful for all your nation has done for this gentle group of beings. In the radiance of Heaven, may they grow into strong and healthy adults as your loving actions form a ring of protection around them.

Please take it easy and laugh with us at this joke of the day entitled “The Roasting Pan.”

One day, a little girl watched her mom make a vegan roast. She cut off the ends, tied it in string, seasoned it, and then set it in the roasting pan. The little girl asked:

“Mom, why do you cut off the ends of the roast?”

After some thought, her mom replied:

“Well, it was the way my mother used to do it.”

That night, grandma came to dinner, and the little girl asked her why she used to cut the ends off the roast before cooking it. After some thought, grandma replied:

“Well, that was the way my mom did it.”

When the little girl later went with her mom and grandma to see her great grandmother, she again asked the question:

“Great-grandma, why did you cut off the ends of the vegan roast?”

Great-grandma looked at them a bit annoyed and said:

“So it would fit in the pan, of course.”

And now we have a heartline from Lu-Ye in China:

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, Starting from my ignorant youth to matured middle age, I have followed You for 25 years. Craving to return to my spiritual Home, since an early age and having confidence in the great Enlightened Master, I counted on the guidance and protection of the inner Master to overcome countless difficulties. Supreme Master Television has broadcasted Master’s lecture on the “Surangama Sutra.” Master explained the various realms and dozens of maya tests encountered by spiritual practitioners. Over the past 10 years, I have gone through about 10 such realms. In those intricate maya traps, I once was hurt badly. Fortunately, basking in the grace of God, I feel more and more free and healthy and understand more about Master's greatness and compassion. I am more confident in Master's power. In the most desperate moment, it was Master who created a palace similar to what Babaji did for His disciple to resolve my karma. When I was lonely and helpless, noble God Hirmself incarnated as a human to show me the direction. It was the angel who came to comfort and accompany me when I was lost. All these traps let me understand thoroughly that a practitioner like me could not possibly pass through such horrible tests unless with the Enlightened Master’s protective power and the grace of God. On the way Home, only the Enlightened Master is the faithful lover who will accompany me to Heaven and hell, and experience all kinds of grace and traps. The illusion created by maya is ever-changing, and the practitioners’ way home is full of difficulties and dangers. But beloved Master is forever merciful and always turns the most desperate crisis into hope. I hope that I can live strong and courageously. I hope to use all my inner freedom and happiness to quietly support Master's ideals in every aspect of life. At the same time, I wish all sincere fellow practitioners will trust and rely on the Enlightened Master’s power and join the reunion in our Home in Heaven. Your disciple who loves You deeply, Lu-Ye from China

Truth-seeking Lu-Ye, We appreciate your sending us a message.

Master has a reply for you: “Luminous Lu-Ye, thank you very much for sharing your experience with your brothers and sisters. Please continue to trust your inner Master. From initiation on, the Master power always accompanies you, and you are never alone on the path back to your spiritual Home. Free yourself from all worldly desire, then nothing can harm you. Adhere to the five precepts of moral conduct, within and without, so that your spiritual Journey would be safe and pleasant. Be true to yourself, knowing that we are transparent in the whole Cosmos. May you and great China enjoy safety and serenity, in Heavenly glory.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline
