In today’s news, Iraq supported in addressing pandemic, Japan donates funds to help refugees and migrants, solar energy on the rise in Angola, German energy company adopts hydrogen technology, renowned conservationist urges respect towards animals, vegan meat demand to soar globally, and rehabilitated slow lorises returned to rainforest in Indonesia.

United effort boosts Iraq’s healthcare response to COVID-19.

The governments of Belgium, a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection laureate, the Netherlands, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Humanitarianism recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Earth Guardian and Animal Protection laureate, and Sweden have jointly committed US$5 million as part of the United Nations Development Programme’s US$22 million COVID-19 response package for Iraq. Nine hospitals that serve underprivileged communities will be able to implement measures such as providing personal protective equipment to healthcare workers, increasing the testing capacity of laboratories as well as the number of isolation wards, and conducting post-recovery assessments. Bravo, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden! Many thanks also, United Nations Development Programme, for your dedicated assistance. May the lovely people of Iraq be well and shielded in Allah’s mercy.

Japan helps the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Japanese government, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has donated US$6 million to the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The funds will be used primarily to aid refugees and migrants, including returnees and internally displaced persons, as well as host communities and others, in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Iran, Laos, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The IOM will coordinate border crossings, communicate the pandemic’s risks to the public, monitor and intervene at points of entry, and more. IOM Director General His Excellency António Vitorino said,“We must not forget the devastating impact this disease will have on the tens of millions of people who are already living in dire humanitarian situations.” Our heartfelt gratitude, Japan and the International Organization for Migration. In Heaven’s benevolence, we pray that all humans on earth will soon be in peace and health through the virtuous vegan lifestyle.

Up next, solar energy on the rise in Angola. We wish to thank the wellness coordinators, who bring various fitness and nutrition-related activities to gyms and other facilities to motivate people to be strong and healthy. Will return with more inspiring news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television.

Hi, happy friends, it’s Rainbow the Parrotfish! I’m a pure vegan, and I hope you are too! Here is a tip for you. Practicing good hand hygiene during the pandemic involves a lot of hand-washing and use of sanitizer, which can lead to dry skin. To protect your skin, dermatologists suggest using a different moisturizer during the day than at night. There are three types of moisturizers − lotions, creams and ointments, with lotions being the lightest and ointments being the heaviest. Use a light, unscented lotion throughout the course of the day for your dry hands, and a cream or ointment in the evening to allow time for your hands to repair. It’s safer that you wash your hands before touching the container and don’t share your moisturizers with others. Big love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around our beautiful globe.

Angola expands electrical generating capacity with solar.

Angola will install a solar plant in the northeastern city of Saurimo to help supply the electrical needs of its 534,000 residents. With construction set to begin in October 2020, the plant will be capable of generating up to 26 megawatts. Six other solar plants will also follow in other provinces, worth €539 million in total. In addition, the government recently initiated the installation of 30,000 off-grid systems in mostly rural areas, which will bring an additional 600 megawatts of power to the nation and are expected to be completed by 2022. Way to go, Angola, on your many projects to bring sustainable electricity to the gracious people of your nation. In the joy of the Providence, may their lives be ever improved with the Earth-friendly blessings of solar energy.

Large German energy supplier switching to green power.

Germany-headquartered Siemens recently signed a cooperation agreement with Uniper, one of Europe’s largest fossil fuel generators, to help the latter company decarbonize its operations with technologies such as green hydrogen. As a part of their agreement, Siemens will also assess Uniper’s gas turbines and storage facilities to determine their compatibility with hydrogen. Uniper has committed to close or convert all its coal plants by 2025 and also to have net zero emissions by 2035. Such gladdening news, Uniper, on your ambitious plans to transform your company into a clean energy supplier. Thank you for your collaboration, Siemens. May this positive endeavor bear fruit quickly as Europe’s economic and living system becomes more and more in harmony with our majestic planet.

Dame Dr. Jane Goodall, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, speaks out on the cause of COVID-19.

During a recent conference call, acclaimed primatologist Dame Dr. Jane Goodall stated, “It is our disregard for nature and our disrespect of the animals we should share the planet with that has caused this pandemic.” The 86-year-young vegetarian conservationist reiterated scientific findings that the combination of environmental destruction, hunting, wild animal meat markets, and animal factory farms “are the conditions that create an opportunity for the viruses to jump from animals across the species barrier to humans.” Encouraging everyone to rethink their daily life choices including what they eat, Dame Dr. Goodall expressed her hope that the pandemic would help awaken more people to live their lives differently and thus prevent future pandemics. Our appreciation, Dame Dr. Jane Goodall, for your wise words of truth and compassion. May Heaven help us to be vegan and more respectful to all fellow Earthlings and the planet we share.

Coming up, vegan meat demand to soar globally. It’s time for us to pray for the peace and safety of all living Saints and Sages who are working tirelessly to uplift our planet’s consciousness. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more valuable news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Shining News for a Radiant World.

Demand for vegan food increases due to food safety concerns.

A report by India-headquartered market research company MarketsandMarkets has revealed that the global plant-based meat segment is expected to expand from US$3.6 billion in 2020 to US$4.2 billion in 2021, with North America being the fastest-growing region. Major factors driving this trend include concerns for food safety due to the COVID-19 virus, plus a rising population of vegans and surging demand for clean-label products, meaning those that use few and wholesome ingredients. The report also noted the popularity of internet-based ordering for vegan goods, which is expected to continue after the pandemic. Thank you, MarketsandMarkets, for highlighting the logically increased interest in safer and more healthful vegan items. May all people be aware of this solution and make the switch to the protective plant-based way, in the Divine’s loving support.

Rehabilitated slow lorises returned to rainforest in Indonesia.

United Kingdom-headquartered International Animal Rescue, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, has released six male and seven female slow lorises to their habitat in Sumatra after restoring them to health at the organization’s primate center in Bogor, a city of Indonesia’s West Java Province. The lorises were brought into the deep forest after meeting all release requirements including completion of medical examinations, a quarantine, and checking that they exhibited wild behavior. The helping team was comprised of members of the Centre for Natural Resources Conservation for Bogor and Lampung, the Forest Management Unit of Batutegi, and local volunteers. Over the next few months, the team will monitor the slow lorises’ ability to adjust and survive in the wild. Many thanks, International Animal Rescue and all parties involved in this diligent and joyful mission. May we always help our cherished animal friends to survive and thrive in the wild as they should, in Celestial care.

Time now to enjoy the joke of the day entitled “Getting Organized.

A teacher was trying to get her students to stand in one line in an orderly fashion.

“Please James, didn’t I tell you to stand at the end of the line?”

“I tried, but there was someone already there!”
