Peace One Day was set up 19 years ago to try and create the first-ever day of ceasefire and nonviolence with a fixed calendar date. And eventually, after years of travelling and doing the work, I’m delighted that the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the 21st of September as a day of ceasefire and nonviolence Peace Day. That was the first time that Peace One Day And as a consequence of that, UNICEF and WHO and other agencies were able to vaccinate 1.4 million children against polio. We want as many people to know that , The International Day of Peace with the theme: ‘Who Will You Make Peace With?”
