In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from the United Kingdom…
In a Fly-In News on January 17, 2023, titled “Go in the Direction of Peace and Be Grateful to Have a Better Life,” our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) conveyed Her concern for the well-being of a United Kingdom citizen She had heard was in need of help. “Even some places in England, some people can’t afford to pay electricity, and they have to choose between ‘heat or eat.’(Oh yes.) I read that. And I read in one news somewhere, one woman, she cried her eyes out because she needs £10 to pay for electricity, otherwise they would cut it off. (Wow.) I didn’t know how to help her. I wanted to help her so much. (Wow.) I didn’t know how. I don’t know how. I’m all alone and I’m not good with all this… how to find out things. And I’m overburdened with busyness inside and outside already also. I wish I could have helped her.”
After our United Kingdom Association members responded in an initial report, saying they were confident they could find this person, Master most kindly offered Her assistance. “Thank you all; glad the woman can be found. Hope she will be OK. Give her US$1,000 for her future electric bills. Enquire about her wellness, etc. Bring her some vegan food for eating and to store for later; tell her how to cook them.”
Following is an updated report from our Association members in the United Kingdom: “January 27, 2023 Dear Most Caring and Compassionate Master, On Saturday, January 17, 2023, we came to know from Master’s heartfelt appeal on Fly-In News about Ms. Joanne Cantor, mother of two in Brighton, who cried out about her need for just £10 to keep her electricity on. Shortly after hearing this news, we received a message from our beloved Master requesting us to help find Joanne so that She could help her.
On Sunday, January 22, we were able to contact Ms. Cantor through social media and met with her that same day. Ms. Cantor was surprised and touched by Master’s love and concern. She then shared with us that she was currently out of food for her daughter and herself, and the local foodbank wouldn’t re-open until Thursday. One of our fellow Association members immediately drove her to a nearby supermarket to purchase essential vegan food items. Ms. Cantor expressed her gratitude to Master and our Association.
On Wednesday, January 25, we presented Ms. Joanne Cantor with Master’s financial gift of US$1,000, plus a US$250 donation from our UK Association members. This total donation of $1,250 would help her pay for electricity and essential foods needed during this challenging winter season. She very much appreciated the gift and said, ‘Thank You, Master Ching Hai.’ We also encouraged her to turn to the vegan diet and gave her numerous vegan food items she could start with right away. Additionally, we gave her a copy of Master’s book, ‘From Crisis to Peace: The Organic Vegan Way is the Answer.’ Ms. Cantor was delighted, saying that she has done some vegan cooking and that she will read the book.
Our utmost appreciation to Master for Her caring and timely help to Ms. Joanne Cantor and her family. We very much appreciate and thank You also for allowing us this opportunity to give and serve. In God’s merciful Grace, may Ms. Cantor and her family soon enjoy stability in their daily lives, and the happiness of the vegan lifestyle. With deep gratitude for Your endless Love, United Kingdom Association Members”
