European Union (EU) helps protect health care workers in Uzbekistan.
The European Union has contributed over €2 million for a two-year project to assist Uzbekistan in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. In partnership with the country’s Ministry of Health, the initiative will be implemented by the World Health Organization Country’s Office and provide high-quality personal protective equipment to frontline healthcare workers, including those not directly involved in detecting and treating COVID-19 patients. It is an integral part of the €36 Million Team Europe pandemic response in the nation. Commenting on the donation, Jussi Narvi, Chargé d’Affaires of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, stated: “The healthcare personnel are our everyday heroes and we must make sure that they can work safely when protecting us.” The European Union is a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace recipient, and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring laureate. Our earnest gratitude, European Union, World Health Organization, and Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, for your important collaboration to safeguard brave healthcare workers. May all the soulful people of Uzbekistan thrive in Heaven’s infinite love!
World Food Programme wins Nobel Peace Prize.
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for their extensive efforts to end hunger. Commending WFP, the Norwegian Nobel Committee stated, “…providing assistance to increase food security not only prevents hunger, but can also help to improve prospects for stability and peace. The World Food Programme has taken the lead in combining humanitarian work with peace efforts through pioneering projects in South America, Africa and Asia.” In 2019, the organization assisted nearly 100 million people in 88 countries as global warming and unrest caused food shortages in various regions around the world. It also delivered vital supplies to vulnerable areas amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Peace Prize is accompanied by a gold medal and a US$1.4 million award. Congratulations, World Food Programme, and our heartfelt gratitude for all you do to provide relief to so many people in need. In Divine munificence, we pray for continued cooperation between all nations as we embrace a soon-to-be-vegan world to foster compassion and ensure adequate subsistence for every being.
Up next, Rwanda commits to boosting green energy access. We’ll just take a little time to thank career counselors for helping clients find a suitable profession according to their interests, abilities, and values. We’ll be right back with more enriching news on Supreme Master Television.
Hi selfless friends, it’s me, Hannah the vegan Harpy Eagle. Others think I am so smart, that’s because I am vegan. It’s scientifically proven, well you know it already. So go ahead, go vegan, be smart! Here is a tip if you are caring for elderly loved ones. Bathing once or twice a week is a good idea for senior folks to help prevent skin breakdown and infections. In between baths or showers, you can try warm washcloths or bathing wipes to gently clean areas that may need extra freshening up. There are also water-free or no-rinse products available in stores including cleansers and shampoos that may be helpful. Thank you for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around the world!
Rwanda advances toward universal energy availability.
The World Bank has approved US$150 million in financing to enhance affordable and sustainable electricity in Rwanda. This conforms with the country’s goal to provide all her citizens access to electricity by 2024. Half of the funds from World Bank are in the form of a grant while the other half is a loan to the government. The initiative also supports Rwanda’s objective of halving its dependency on cooking fuel. Measures to be implemented include increasing grid connections, giving subsidies for off-grid solar systems, and improving capacity at the existing Ntaruka hydropower plant. Our appreciation, Rwanda and World Bank! May your collaboration bring convenience and prosperity for your precious citizens, in Heaven’s grace.
Study finds vitamin D helps protect against COVID-19.
A study by Boston University School of Medicine in the United States has determined that individuals who have sufficient levels of vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin, have a lower chance of contracting COVID-19. Blood sample data from 190,000 people in the nation was examined, revealing that people with insufficient levels of vitamin D below 20 nanograms/milliliter had a 12.5% chance of contracting the virus, whereas people with around 55 nanograms/milliliter or more had only a 5.9% chance. The US study recommends “responsible vitamin D supplementation based on personal needs, risk factors, and advice from personal physicians in accordance with existing Endocrine Society Guidelines.” Thank you, scientists from Boston University School of Medicine, for assisting the public in understanding the relationship between COVID-19 and vitamin D levels. In God’s illumination, may research continue to discover ways to aid in the prevention and cure of the coronavirus and all diseases.
Courageous Aulacese, also known as Vietnamese, man saves a woman from drowning in Japan.
Vũ Đức Huỳnh, an intern trainee from Âu Lạc (Vietnam), saved a woman who accidentally fell off a bridge and plunged into the Mikasa River in Fukuoka Prefecture. Hearing the woman’s cry for help, Mr. Huỳnh jumped in the river and safely brought her to shore, despite the river’s high water level. The good deed was reported in Japanese newspapers. In addition, the Fire and Rescue Department of Fukuoka Prefecture presented Mr. Huỳnh with a letter of appreciation and a medal while the Consulate General of Âu Lạc (Vietnam) in Fukuoka awarded him a certificate of merit. Heaven bless you, Vũ Đức Huỳnh, on your noble and life-saving deed. May you and the woman you helped always be protected, in Divine care. United States luxury fashion store to stop selling fur and exotic skins.
Nordstrom, a US-based luxury fashion department store, has announced the company will stop selling fur and exotic animal skins by the end of 2021. Their own clothing brands have already been fur and exotic skin-free for a number of years, but the new decision will also apply to other brands they sell. The policy, which was adopted as a result of customer feedback, will also cover Nordstrom Rack, Last Chance and all the 355 stores it operates across 40 US states. The move is in coordination with the Shining World Benevolence Award recipient, the Humane Society of the United States, and follows guidelines from the global coalition Fur Free Alliance. Our accolades, Nordstrom, on your wise and caring decision to save countless cherished lives. In the goodness of the Providence, may your actions encourage more companies to follow suit, as we work to safeguard and nurture all our co-inhabitants.
