Can you imagine a paper made of stone instead of trees? Stone paper is made of stone particles and non-toxic resin. It produces zero waste and requires no water during its production, and has a much smaller carbon footprint compared to traditional tree-based papers. Stone paper was firstly launched to the market in 2008. Currently, stone paper accounts for 1% of all paper sales globally. When compared with regular pulp paper, stone paper is superior in several ways. For example, it is completely waterproof and has higher resistance to tearing.
