Electric vehicles (EVs) are now more prevalent and a comprehensive study carried out by the German Automobile Club (ADAC), Europe’s largest roadside assistance organization, found that EVs had less than half of the breakdowns than gasoline-powered vehicles within the same age range. Furthermore, electric vehicles usually cost half as much to maintain and repair as their gas-powered counterparts since there is no oil to be changed or spark plugs to replace. However, EVs still require some basic maintenance such as service checks and tire rotations. EVs also feature “regenerative” braking, which allows the energy that is typically lost to braking be recovered, extending the life of your brake pads.
