Today, we would like to share excerpts from “Así Hablaba Quetzalcóatl (Thus Spoke Quetzalcóatl),” where the enlightened Master expounds on how we can become closer to God by listening to the language of silence and the inner voice within us.

About Silence

“Talk to us about silence, they so asked Him. Brothers, answered Quetzalcoatl, silence is the transparent tunic with which the Truth dresses itself. Those of us who use words, even as delicate as they may seem, are not doing anything else than dressing it with clothing which more or less hides it to our eyes. Silence is the word of the Heart, and on it all hearts love each other, and there are no words which may make them come apart. Silence is the language of the Spheres, and of the Angels, and will be the language of the New Man.

The one who knows the Truth does not need to speak. Just as the one who has tasted water knows it quenches one’s thirst. Without mind... in the Silence-Sound, communication turns into communion, and instead of mistakes, there is only Love. Perfection!”

The Eye of the Spirit

“And Quetzalcoatl was saying: Be humble, such as the hawthorns that grow in the poorest and most desolate places, for in such way they avoid having a reflection in the mirrors of water. And even when the rain falls, they dress themselves with little green, so as to be mistaken for the land they were born in. Because the vanity of a rose endures just a blow of life, and it hasn’t yet woken up to the new day when wind comes and strips its petals off. Nevertheless, there are many among you who see these things day after day, but want to act blindly towards them and prefer to say: Today I am going to take what life has to offer me, and tomorrow I will correct the course. But they don’t know that life, little by little, keeps on making them go more deaf to themselves, and more blind to the Light. And they don’t know that each day and each night their steps become more turbid.

Don’t let appearances of the kind which dress up things in order to make them desirable, take you. Better let the ‘Eye of the Spirit’ take you, because it never deceives, and will always tell you what is Real. Don’t let yourselves be taken by appearances which get into your ears in the form of words, because many are the tongues that, like swords, hurt and are born to hurt. Listen to your Inner Voice which is always within you, and gives you comfort in the sweating of existence, and which tells you about the most convenient path, and not necessarily about the most enjoyable. Listen to it, and you will be able to listen to Our Mutual Creator God, who dwells within you.

And when they come to you, approaching with violence because your peace and inner calmness may be taken as offense by some of your brothers, receive them with joy and tell them: Brothers, we forgive you because you don’t know yet what you are doing, nor what we are doing. Days will come in which you also will offer those bodies of yours, and life itself, for that which your ignorance is taking away from us now.

Here is the great mystery. How? How to listen to Our Father, who dwells within us? How to see with the Eye of the Spirit? ...”

Once You Part …

“Master, You who walk above illusions and know the most hidden and secret twists in the heart of Life, tell us: What will become of us once you part from here and we are unable to see You with the eyes of our face, or listen to You with our ears?

And He, looking at the horizon and then towards the sky while pointing out to it, said to them: You must know that as long as you have stars that enliven your nights, I will be with you. And as long as you look at them, you will be looking at me, and whenever you learn to listen to them, you will listen to me. Do you see how the night lies down to rest and how it invites you to meditate? Nights will come in which you will not see my presence anymore, but during those nights, flee from the lies your eyes tell, because I will be closer to you than ever.

And taking both hands towards His heart, He pressed it with energy and went on saying: Look for me here and leave me as a seat, and I will make of each heart an altar, and will turn each mouth into my own, and will turn each step into my own steps, and each suffering will become my suffering. And there where I may be the One Saint, you will be within me.

Then a child untied himself from his mother’s arms and came to sit at Quetzalcoatl’s feet. And taking the child into His arms, He so spoke: You must know that children are the hope of the Race who is rising looking for Wisdom. Old mistakes could be mended in them, and hopes for a better world could be renewed in them. Overindulge in their education, and keep vigil over their dreams, so as not to let them turn into nightmares. See how the little birds when coming out from a brood, fly each one in a different direction, and towards their own air, and each one talks differently to life. Think, then, that from the family nest, each one has a particular path and goal. Don’t harm them by imposing your way and goal to all your children. Rather help them, so that the end they have brought along with them may be fulfilled with ease, and so that they may become able to compose a song of Harmony in the One Saint with their work. Have in mind that desire drowns, and that affection can kill, Love is the only thing that liberates.

The Great Master is always offering His Presence to the disciples, even after His physical death. During meditation the disciple will find the way to the stars, and by seeing far beyond will follow His Inner Master.
