In today’s news, Kenyan humanitarian agency wins award from Sharjah, new study in Australia finds wild animals do not eat when too hot, Canadian company develops plant-grown vaccine candidate for coronavirus, high-tech plant company in India develops new kind of bamboo, Kurdish woman from Syria receives Diana Award, American rapper and Greek vegan cheese company support Black-owned restaurants, and Indonesian villagers rescue stranded leatherback turtle.

Sharjah presents award to Kenyan nonprofit organization.

Since 2008, a Nairobi-based charity named RefuSHE has been serving displaced girls and young women in the Great Lakes region of East Africa. The agency provides protection, education and moral support to these vulnerable individuals, empowering them to blossom into productive members of society. Recently, on World Refugee Day, the Sharjah International Award for Refugee Advocacy and Support (SIARA) 2021 was bestowed on RefuSHE along with a cash prize of approximately US$136,000. The award symbolizes Emirati kindness and highlights the role that Sharjah plays globally in funding compassionate initiatives. A big round of applause, RefuSHE, and our heartfelt gratitude, the Emirate of Sharjah! In the light and love of Allah, may suffering humanity soon find solace and flourish in a new era of peace on Earth.

Iconic marsupials are losing their appetites.

Researchers at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra have published an article on wild animals eating less as temperatures rise. Lead author, Dr. Kara Youngentob, says that climate change may be affecting native species more than previously suspected. Her team focused on nocturnal marsupials like greater gliders, whose numbers have been declining. When the overnight temperature exceeds 20 degrees Celsius, greater gliders do not feel hungry. Typically, they get their nutrition and water from eucalyptus leaves, but if these mammals do not eat regularly, they can quickly perish from starvation or dehydration. The scientists suggest that their findings may have similar implications for many other small plant-eating animals. We sincerely appreciate your report, Dr. Youngentob and fellow university researchers. May your observations motivate us to redouble our efforts to reach World Vegan, in Heaven’s mercy, and keep the planet from overheating.

Up next, Canadian company develops plant-based vaccine candidate for coronavirus. Let’s take a moment to thank the science teachers, who create lesson plans, give lectures and use hands-on learning experiences to help students build their knowledge of the physical universe. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more gladdening news. Vegan side effect: have a problem with surging intelligence.

Hallo, vibrant viewers, it’s Lorenzo the vegan Slow Loris! People are head over heels in love with me because I’m vegan. Today, I have a cleaning tip for you. You can freshen up your kitchen and bathroom by cleaning the grout between the tiles. Just add some oxygen bleach to the grout lines and use an old toothbrush to scrub it – not too hard, though. Alternatively, you can make a homemade cleanser by combining 3/4 cup (180 milliliters) of baking soda, 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) of hydrogen peroxide, and one spoonful of eco-friendly dish soap. Don’t use acidic cleansers or vinegar as the grout could get damaged. Happy cleaning! Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world!

Crucial clinical trial begins for new pandemic treatment.

Medicago, a Canadian biotechnology firm, and GlaxoSmithKline, a British multinational pharmaceutical company, have partnered to develop a coronavirus vaccine candidate from Nicotiana benthamiana through transient gene expression. The plants produce empty virus-like particles (VLPs) that cannot cause infection but train the immune system to respond. In Phase 1 testing, the two-dose immunizations yielded antibody numbers 10-times higher than in people recovering from COVID-19. Following positive Phase 2 results, research test-trial sites in 10 countries are enrolling up to 30,000 individuals for the Phase 3 trial, starting with Canada and the US. If approved for use, Medicago’s vaccine will feature the advantage of not needing to be frozen. Promising development, Medicago and GlaxoSmithKline! We pray that preventatives like yours, combined with a global transition to veganism, will turn the tide on our planetary retribution and ensure a pandemic-free future, in the grace of Heaven.

A new superior plant clone can live over a hundred years.

As part of an effort to mitigate global warming and climate change, Growmore Biotech Ltd. in Tamil Nadu, India, has developed what it calls Beema Bamboo. It is tissue-cultured, not genetically modified, and its shoots grow almost solid, making it an excellent source of biomass for energy generation. Although it is a tropical variety and prefers high humidity, it can adapt to other climate conditions. The plant is sterile, not producing any seed, and is impervious to pests and disease. Saplings grow extremely fast, reaching their maximum height of about 9 meters within a month. A 4-year-old tree may produce over 300 kilograms of oxygen a year while absorbing 400 kilograms of carbon dioxide. What a remarkable achievement, Growmore Biotech! May we be blessed to see stands of Beema Bamboo making the Earth greener and cooler, in Celestial delight.

Grateful refugee supports other vulnerable women.

When Roudy Ali fled her home in Syria in 2015, she journeyed for 28 days to reach Germany. She took up residence in Munster and joined an integration council, helping to empower individuals who seek sanctuary from repressive circumstances. Ms. Ali also launched a social media campaign to provide assistance to women back in Syria. For her dedication to human welfare, she was nominated for The Diana Award, established in memory of Princess Diana of Wales. In June 2021, Ms. Ali received this outstanding accolade, which embodies Princess Diana’s belief that “young people have the power to change the world.” Congratulations, Roudy Ali, for your well-deserved recognition. And our loving gratefulness to the charitable organization behind The Diana Award for honoring the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales. May our planet indeed be transformed by the compassionate choices we make, in Heavenly upliftment.

Coming up, American vegan rapper and Greek vegan cheese company support Black-owned restaurants. We will take a moment to enjoy images from Alberobello, Italy. It is home to over 1,500 trulli – historic limestone buildings with cone-shaped roofs designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More supportive news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: 4 a dream world come true. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Rewarding News for a Better World.

Restaurants recovering from COVID-19 restrictions can apply for assistance.

The economic fallout of the pandemic has been widespread and remains especially challenging for many small businesses. To help revitalize Black-owned eateries in the United States and promote plant-based options, vegan cheese company Violife has partnered with American vegan rapper RZA to offer Plant Grants worth US$20,000 each to five establishments. In addition to the money, the winners will receive professional advice on menu planning, marketing and publicity. Laricia Chandler Baker, Chef Fab and owner of Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat, as well as Lemel Durrah, chef and founder of Compton Vegan, have graciously agreed to share their expertise. Exemplary teamwork, RZA, Violife and participating chefs! We pray that we will be seeing more plant-based restaurants and communities springing up until Earth becomes a vegan planet, in the grace of the Providence.

A marine reptile stuck onshore is returned to ocean.

Residents of North Sulawesi, Indonesia, were celebrating a friend’s birthday when they spotted an enormous leatherback turtle floundering in an estuary. Amazed, they reported their discovery to local wildlife authorities and then banded together to move the aquatic giant back to the sea. Fortunately, the animal did not appear to be injured and swam away as soon as several strong young men gave a final push. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), leatherback populations are shrinking rapidly in many parts of the world, especially in the Pacific, due to threats in the water and on nesting beaches. Our hearts are touched by your collective kindness, Indonesian rescuers! Heaven will surely remember with love and gratitude your efforts to save this precious creature.

Now, let’s kick back and relax with the joke of the day titled,“Summing Things Up.”

It was the end of another day at school and a few third grade friends were chatting together on the way home.

“How did you do on that math test today?”

“I don’t think I did very well. I have trouble with intersecting lines and angles.”

“Me too. It doesn’t seem very practical.”

“Yeah! That makes four of us.”

And now we have a heartline from Alexander in Canada:

Master, I watched Between Master and Disciples’ Part 3 of 9 of “The True Meaning of Monkhood,” a lecture held on December 26, 2019, at the New Land Ashram in Taiwan (Formosa), where You made some comments after answering questions from one of our Association members. At one epic moment when Faith in Master was mentioned, I finally received my answer to one important question loud and clear. My question was, “Why was I experiencing unbearable pain?” The pain started the first week of December 2020 and persisted till December 21. The clear answer was… FAITH. Faith in Master Power helped me to finish the work I was assigned and confidently move on and not be stopped by the unbearable pain and suffering. I suspected the pain derived from the low back or kidneys since they are close. I am familiar with the low back pain, and it didn’t seem that the pain was from the low back, but not the kidney, so I needed to do some searching, and soon I was happy to confirm it was NOT the kidney, (Thank You, Master). That is great news, but I kept asking myself, “Why and what was causing the pain?” The pain was unbearable and constant for almost 20 days, always there day and night while sitting, including meditating, standing, or lying down, and continued to bother me, but that did not discourage or stop me from completing the Italian translation task at hand. Before meditating, I asked, “Why am I experiencing that pain?” I received the answer earlier on, but I did not understand, or probably my mind was mostly focused on completing the urgent and rush jobs, and I missed paying full attention to the inner answers.

You see, Master, I am thankful, privileged, and grateful to be part of the Quan Yin family and the Supreme Master Television global working team, and I love to be of service for the betterment of humanity. From the beginning of December 2020 till December 21, 2020, we worked on the final touches of the Italian translation for the 9-part series of “The True Meaning of Monkhood” episodes. The pain was severe, and what kept me going was a strong faith in Master. Now, I am happy to say that without taking any medications of any kind, the pain started to be less and less and hardly interfering with my normal daily tasks, just as a miracle now I feel as it is almost gone for good. When the pain was very, very unbearable, I did not know what to make of it, and I was asking another question, “Will I celebrate it on Earth or at the New Realm that Master created for all of us in Heaven?” My 75th birthday was on February 22, 2021. Well, thanks to a strong faith that I had in You, Master, I could celebrate it here on Earth. From the bottom of my heart, MASTER, THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE, GUIDANCE and PROTECTION. Alexander from Canada

Inspiring Alexander, Thank you for sharing the miracles that you have experienced on the spiritual path. May Heavens give you the strength and endurance so that you can continue your noble work here on Earth.

Master replies with these heartening words for you: “Vibrant Alexander, I’m sorry that you have to undergo some difficulties in life to help recognize your great Self. Know that this is all temporary and that our souls are perfect in Heaven. In the future, always see a physician right away if you have a medical issue. May you and the neighborly Canadians be blessed in the Divine’s magnificence.”
