With a multi-ethnic society of European and indigenous Indian ancestry, Chile is known for political freedom and cultural tolerance. Chile passed legislation in 2018 to strengthen women’s leadership in politics and public enterprises, requiring at least 40% of the candidates standing for Parliament to be women. Not only that, the ethical veg lifestyle has taken Chile by storm. In 2018, research found that from 2010 to 2016, vegetarianism increased by 25% and veganism by 257%. As the world’s most populated country and second largest economy, China is also exemplary in peace efforts, environmental awareness, and kindness to animals. In 2019, the United Nations also recognized China with a medal for the outstanding efforts of the country’s peacekeepers working in Lebanon. With God’s grace, Colombia has found peace after many decades. In November 2016, the Colombian government and the opposition group known as FARC successfully reached a final agreement and signed a peace accord, which opened up a myriad of benefits to the country. In addition, Colombia is ranked the second happiest country in the world based on the survey of citizens' optimism about their nation.
