On today’s program, Dr. Haziza shares further insights about the dire consequences of global warming. “And so, if we don't make the link today between the issue of mental health and the issue of these climatic extremes, it's us in the end that will pay the price.”

“So, we indeed have to stop focusing on people who take a bath, or people who take a shower, because that is not the problem at all.” “Livestock farming is a huge consumer of water, and we see that in periods of drought, livestock farming is one of the first to suffer enormously.”

“People must understand, at their level, what the consequences are and what is going to happen. So that's the first problem. The second major problem, in my opinion, is that we keep talking to people with scenarios for 2035 and 2050. And people are convinced that the problem will be in 2035 and 2050. But what has been happening on the planet during the last four years, this system which is self-expanding shows us that it's happening today not tomorrow, and the window of opportunity to react is very small. We only have a few years left! And so, a new world will have to be recreated.”

“And so here we are, we're watching, and I think we all have to start acting. The first thing we have to do is to act on our plate. We have to relearn to eat as healthily as possible, with fruit and vegetables with as little as possible impact on the environment, because we're going to have a colossal impact. Through our consumption patterns, it's a militant act in itself, the way we eat.”

Global warming has reached a critical tipping point. Given that a vegan lifestyle is the solution, what can we do to bring about a vegan world? “I think we need to talk to every citizen, every human being on Earth. We have to reconnect with him, and tell him that he has his power, he has his power to act, he also has his power to act in the choices he will make, and I believe that this is the only way we can act today.”
