The central idea of biomimicry is that the strategies nature has adopted have evolved and succeeded over billions of years. These time-tested patterns and approaches have already solved many of the issues that we are addressing today. By mimicking the shape of lotus leaves’ surface, one can create a paint for a building that has similar self-cleaning effect.
