In today’s news, international development agencies partner to assist countries in crisis, World Health Organization (WHO) estimates COVID-19 toll two to three times higher than reported, NASA has successful aerial flight of robotic helicopter on Mars, study shows gardening improves well-being, kindhearted Hungarian man builds nests to protect swallows, meat consumption drops to 25-year low in Australia, and 18 lambs rescued from auction in United States.

International development agencies collaborate to address issues faced by countries in crisis.

An agreement between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (Kuwait Fund) will increase support for regions facing development and humanitarian challenges as well as assist in peacebuilding actions. The collaboration will encourage sustainable living with an emphasis on crisis prevention and recovery. The Kuwait Fund will provide financial aid to back UNDP’s work in 170 countries. The programs are built around UNDP’s humanitarian- peacebuilding-development nexus and focus on offering long-term solutions to poverty, climate change and inequality while also working towards harmonious living for all. Our heartfelt thanks, Kuwait Fund and United Nations Development Programme. May your loving and benevolent partnership bring comfort and happiness to many, in Allah’s abundant blessings.

World Health Organization (WHO) estimates COVID-19 deaths two to three times higher than official numbers.

In its latest annual statistics report, WHO assesses that in 2020 COVID-19 took approximately 1.2 million lives in addition to the officially reported 1.8 million. Dr. Samira Asma, Assistant Director-General at WHO’s Impact Division, estimated that as of May 21, 2021, the number of lives lost globally to COVID-19 is “about 6 to 8 million,” or two to three times higher than the over 3.4 million deaths tallied as of May 2021. To enhance tracking of COVID-related mortalities, WHO urges its 194 member states to increase their respective capacities for data collection and health information systems. Many thanks, Dr. Samira Asma and World Health Organization. Our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of all who succumbed to COVID-19. May their souls rest peacefully in Heaven’s eternal embrace. To protect precious lives, may humanity soon transition to a vegan world.

Up next, NASA has successful aerial flight of robotic helicopter on Mars. We would like to send our sincere gratitude to all oncologists who help us diagnose, manage and treat cancer. Please stay for more gladdening news on Supreme Master Television. Be a Hero=Be Vegan=(Save the World).

Hey, amazing viewers, it’s Gracey the vegan Goose! It makes sense that when you eat foods with light and love, like raw fruits and veggies, your aura will naturally be radiant. So, let it shine and go vegan like me! Today, I would like to share a tip with you for your wonderful dog companion. It’s always challenging to leave him or her at home when you go out, but it is better to not make a big deal out of it when you return home as your canine buddy may take advantage of the situation and demand even more attention. If possible, be somewhat firm. He or she will be very happy to see you when you come back, but dog training experts suggest the avoidance of overreacting. Simply greet them with a “hallo” and wait at least 10 minutes until they calm down, then you can have a more exciting time together. It may be tough to do at first, but over time it helps build a more stable and controlled relationship. Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

NASA demonstrates well-controlled aerial flight of helicopter on Mars.

Last year, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) deployed a unique helicopter called Ingenuity in its Mars 2020 mission. The device is designed to help NASA test control flight abilities on an extraterrestrial planet, where gravity and other atmospheric properties differ from Earth. Despite initial software issues, Ingenuity successfully lifted up to 5 meters above Mars’ surface, did a shimmy back and forth and performed a controlled 50 meters flight lasting around 80 seconds. NASA program executive Dave Lavery explained this was “nothing short of amazing,” and stated that its success will help make possible further aerial missions on our red neighbor. What an exciting project, NASA and congratulations to the entire team! We pray that we may learn much from your Mars missions to benefit humanity and our planet, in God’s light.

Researchers quantify the immense benefits of gardening.

A recent study by Britain’s Royal Horticultural Society has shown that people who garden every day have well-being scores that are 6.6% higher than people who don’t garden or garden less frequently. Their stress levels were also 4.2% lower. The study, conducted in collaboration with the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom and the University of Virginia in the United States, surveyed 6,000 people. It was also discovered that even just having more plants in the garden was linked with greater well-being, which suggests that looking at and being around them is also beneficial. Thank you, Royal Horticultural Society, University of Sheffield and University of Virginia researchers, for helping to highlight the wonderful effects of connecting to and caring for our plant kingdom. May more people soon take up this beautiful hobby and enjoy the happiness of the natural world, in Divine grace.

Hungarian man builds 430 swallow nests to protect species.

Hungarian bird lover, Ferenc Matics, has been building nests for swallows under the eaves of his roof for the last 12 years, to help attract and protect the birds. The nests are made of sawdust, plaster, mud and water. He has so far constructed 430 of them, and last year 250 pairs of birds occupied the little homes. The species has been under pressure due to climate change and pesticide use, which saw their population in Hungary decline by 64% between 2000 and 2010. In the last decade, however, their numbers have stabilized partially due to public awareness campaigns. Our gratitude, gentle Ferenc Matics, for sharing your home with these lovely, feathered angels. We pray that our beautiful avian friends will always grace our planet with their playful spirit, as we lovingly protect all animals and their habitats, in the watchful gaze of the Providence. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gladly present Ferenc Matics the Shining World Compassion Award plus US$10,000 to humbly contribute to this lifesaving effort. In Heaven's Mercy with big hugs, love and thanks. May you and the elegant birds be in God’s Blessing always.”

Coming up, meat consumption drops to 25-year low in Australia. The roses are in full bloom, so we will step out for a short while now to enjoy the allure of their divine fragrance. We’ll return with more assuring news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan = 4 Total Peace. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Sharing News for a Reviving World.

New report shows Australia’s meat consumption at 25-year low.

According to the market research company IBISWorld, meat consumption in Australia has dropped to its lowest point since 1996. The national meat processing industry is predicted to shrink by 10% during 2021, while the uptake of plant-based alternatives is projected to accelerate over the next five years. Rising public concern over environmental and ethical issues are key drivers for the shift towards meatless lifestyles, as consumers become more conscious about health, animal welfare and the impact of climate change. There has also been an annual increase in the price of domestic meats over the past five-year period, thus lowering demand. Such promising news and many thanks, IBISWorld. May the sustainable vegan trend continue to soar in Australia and across the world as we embrace a life of kindness and peace, in the blessings of Heaven.

Rescue farm welcomes 18 new lamb residents.

Eighteen lambs, including 10 babies, were saved by The Riley Farm Rescue, from an animal livestock auction where they were being sold. Located in Canterbury, Connecticut, United States, the lambs joined over 200 other animals on the farm where they are receiving tender care and rehabilitation, before being moved to other animal sanctuaries around the country. The Riley Farm Rescue was founded by Marla Riley in 2017. Besides providing a loving home for rescued animals, the 10.5-hectare farm is open to volunteers, gives children the opportunity to meet animal friends, holds special educational events to promote the vegan lifestyle, and raises awareness of animal abuse. Our loving appreciation, Marla Riley and The Riley Farm Rescue. May all animals live in their rightful home and be allowed to peacefully co-exist with other beings, in Divine love. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to The Riley Farm Rescue plus a US$10,000 humble contribution to assist your life-saving work, with love and gratitude. May you and the sweet animals be blessed and protected by God’s Grace.”

Let’s ease our mind with a joke of the day, “Three Tablespoons.”

“There you go, Al, this is your medicine. Please take three tablespoons, three times a day.”

“Oh no... But I can’t!”

“Why not?”

“I only have one tablespoon, Doc...”

“?!”
