In today’s news, Norway delivers electrical equipment to Ukraine (Ureign), worldwide wildlife populations declined by 73% in last five decades, Colombia and Ecuador collaborate to safeguard vital wetlands amid droughts, innovative students turn food waste into eco-friendly cups in Singapore, United States sheriff recognized for animal-people protection work, health experts petition for vegan meals in UK hospitals, and cat-person in United States who survived Hurricane Helene returned home eight days after being swept away.

I would like to share a vegan food safety tip with you. Did you know there is a possibility that reheating cold rice can cause food poisoning? Leftover cooked rice may harbor bacteria like Bacillus cereus, which can survive cooking. If rice is stored improperly or left at room temperature for too long, these bacteria can replicate and produce toxins that lead to food poisoning, with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. To reduce the risk, cool rice quickly and store it in the refrigerator within three hours after cooking. Leftover rice should not be refrigerated for extended periods, as bacteria can still grow even at temperatures between 4°C and 6°C. If you feel unwell after eating leftovers, seek medical help rather than self-treating.

Now, it’s time to get those happy vibes going with the upcoming joke. It’s called “A Spark of Romance.”

A caveman was trying to impress his girlfriend with a new fire making technique. He rubbed two sticks together for hours, but the sticks just got smoother. Finally, exhausted, he said:

“I give up. Let's just ask someone for a match.”

“But that's cheating!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Eric in the United States
