Let us continue with excerpts from “Así Hablaba Quetzalcóatl (Thus Spoke Quetzalcóatl),” where we learn of the Master’s profound teachings, which expounds on the interplay between innocence and compassion, the true meaning of courage rooted in forgiveness, humility, and non-violence, as well as the encouragement of individuals to be the seeds of a new era characterized by peace and love for all.

The Thought-Man “Quetzalcóatl was saying: I have seen the generations that have passed by one after the other during this Age, and I have contemplated the ages that have sat down, filling up an entire Time. I have been observing man ever since he was nothing but a thought and a sketch in the hands of Creation. Later I saw how he was taking form and how in each Planetary School he took a different one, in accordance to the laws of adaptation. Little by little he walked, measured the elements, and soon he will fly far beyond his own reflection. And some day he will stand up Awakened, and then he will be able to understand the why. Then each one of his steps will be a new life. You must know that the thought-man is nothing else than the rung of a cycle, within many other cycles, just as the butterfly becomes a step in the life-cycle of a caterpillar. But each rung has at the same time many rungs.

In the thought-man the Spirit is only a sketch, even though it is trying hard to fly, and by flying it moves towards becoming conscious of himself. And this is Knowledge. There is a short and a long way. The long way takes us through innumerable lives of transmigration. The short one is to meet a Living Master and become initiated by Him or Her. Now ... Blessed are those who take the shorter path, because we will arrive faster.

I Am “I am a pilgrim from Eternity, looking for the way in the murmurs of nature, and in Heaven the goal... When I go to sleep, all the Suns with their Worlds are dreaming within me. And when the time of awakening comes to me, Beings come into Life. Enlightenment.”

The Wings of Fantasy “And a child approached Him along with other children, and pulling at His tunic, he said to Him: Master: Why don’t you talk to us today, just as you have done other days, and tell us about things? Because only you have time to stop and listen to us, and only you look at us as our mothers do.

And Quetzalcóatl sat down among them and talked to them in this way: Do you see how the little birds also sit still to listen to us? Don’t you see how the leaves on the trees bend to shade us even more? Do you feel how Nature wraps you up with its hands, and protects you within its bosom?

And a child stood up and said: Master, do you know? I see a friend of mine who is always walking with me, and when no one is listening, he listens to me, and when no one is seeing me, he sees me. Many times I talk to him, but the elder ones say it’s just that I have wings of fantasy in my head, and they laugh at me, and at him. Tell me, will You also laugh?

And He answered him: Indeed I tell you that when innocence fills life up, it is the only time when you are not lonesome. Those who laugh at you have long ago ignored their friend and their companion. And they submerge themselves in the appearance of believing that they are surrounded by friends and companions. They laugh at you for that which they suppressed in themselves, and unconsciously wish for you to also suppress it.

And after that, turning to see all of them, He said to them: Don’t you ever forget to keep your friend within your heart. He is the only one who will keep your infancy. And, indeed I tell you that the one who is able to keep being a child through all the stages which, as if setting a trap, life puts you through, will turn into a Master of men to make them become once more like children. Innocence! Keep it So as to keep it from being stolen by life. Take care of it! So you won‘t lose it on the way, until you attain enough wisdom to know how to use it. It is your treasure and your protection.”

About Courage “And some youngsters who had just returned from faraway lands, asked Him: Master, tell us something about Courage.

And Quetzalcóatl sat down along with all of them, and talked to them this way: You must know that the thing that you many times appreciate as being courageous, is nothing but fear. Courage resides in knowing how to bear offenses even to death, because isn’t it true that when you answer an offense with another one, you thus affirm and put yourselves at the same level of the one who offends? A courageous person is one who, even if he could answer another with the same tactic, forgives instead and returns, turned into humbleness, the other’s despotism.

True Courage is closer to the humble in acts than to the one who boasts about his strength. Non-Violence always defeats Violence, just as softness defeats that which is hard. Are you by any chance unable to see how water models, with its constancy, even the hardest rock? Nevertheless, look around you and you will see that man still only understands the language of Violence. Look before this time, and all you will see is Violence. Look behind this time and you will only see Violence. Because man’s heart still thinks with its mouth, and keeps on dreaming about selfish possessions.

And I tell you, with my poor voice and humble strength: Be yourselves the seed of the New Man who inhabits with Peace and Love the Earth. You are its rising hands if you Give and are its rising heart if you Love. Peace and Love to all beings.

There is courage in being oneself, there is courage in renunciation. There is courage in falling and standing up. There is courage in loving your enemy.”
