Here’s a neat way to make a tree-friendly clothesline anchor. Don’t throw away that empty plastic bottle! With a few simple cuts, you can turn it into a clever anchor for a clothesline or tarp when camping or spending time outdoors. Cut a wide collar from the bottle, leaving the neck attached to a broad sleeve of plastic. That’s wide enough to wrap around a tree trunk. Cut a large opening at the opposite end of the sleeve for the bottle neck to pass through. Next, make a small hole in the center of the bottle cap. Thread your clothesline or tarp rope through the cap from the inside and tie a large knot so it can’t pull through. Wrap the plastic sleeve around the tree, insert the bottle neck through the opening, and screw the cap back on. As the cap tightens, it clamps the plastic securely around the tree, creating a sturdy anchor without hammering nails into the tree or damaging the bark. Simply pull the rope tight to a second anchor point, and you’re ready to go.

Looks like the laughter hut is bursting with joy; let’s take a moment to visit it with the joke of the day entitled, “Forgot Something?”

At a train station, a police officer noticed a woman sitting in her car with her head resting on the steering wheel.

“Ma’am, are you alright?”

The woman looked up, half laughing and half crying.

“For 10 years, I’ve driven my husband here every morning so he can catch the train.”

“So, what happened?”

“This morning, I forgot to bring him.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Portuguese, with multiple-language subtitles, from Gabriela in Brazil
