In today’s news, European Union funds humanitarian group to enhance child protection. Second-hand smoke harms 2.7 billion people worldwide in one year, cities in US and Ukraine (Ureign) establish partnership, UK father donates organs to save son’s life, South Korean boys pool money to save wild mouse-person, Indian vegan supplement startup raises US$7.2 million for global expansion, and US police block transport of horse-people to Canadian slaughterhouse.

I have an eye care tip for your child. Research has found that children who spend more time on screens and less time outdoors are more likely to develop myopia, or nearsightedness, because natural daylight assists the young eyes to develop. As your children grow, watch for signs of developing myopia, such as squinting to see things in the distance, difficulty seeing the board at school, sitting close to the TV, complaining of blurred distance vision, or headaches. If you notice these signs, arrange a comprehensive eye examination. Encouraging regular outdoor time, taking sensible breaks from screens and having children’s eyes checked regularly can help parents stay on top of their child’s vision.

It’s now time to sit back, laugh, and enjoy the joke, entitled, “A Real One.”

While two friends were walking through the mall, one of them accidentally dropped his phone into a decorative fountain. Without hesitating, his friend jumped in fully clothed and retrieved it.

“You jumped into a fountain to save my phone? You’re a real one.”

“Of course. Now unlock it and delete that video of me dancing.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Swedish, with multiple-language subtitles, from Thùy Anh in Northern Europe
