And now, let’s listen to a truly magical voice, as described by Yash Chopra, from Mongolia. And Nominjin (Nomi Jean Cater) will sing “No Excuse,” with music and lyrics written by herself, and “Perfect Qualities,” one traditional Mongolian song about enlightenment.

“Hi, my name is Nominjin. I’ve been a strong advocate of the vegan lifestyle myself. I’ve been a vegetarian-vegan for over six years. And so for me, when people oppose the idea of livestock farming being the main cause of global warming, I usually tell them to go and study the facts because the United Nations is providing all the information. It’s been scientifically proven that the livestock industry is the main cause of global warming. And the best thing one can do as an individual to contribute to halting global warming is to actually just change your diet. Apart from being frugal and all other aspects; you know, people tell you to save water, save electricity, drive a hybrid car. Those things are important but not as important as going vegan. So everything is connected with the diet, and if everybody understands this and changes their lifestyle into a vegan lifestyle, global warming will end in no time.

I’ve known the Supreme Master Ching Hai since I was 13 years old, and I’ve been introduced to Her spiritual practice by my uncle who has a PhD in biology. He’s a hardcore scientist, but he himself introduced me to Master Ching Hai’s spiritual practice. And I’ve been meditating with the Quan Yin Method for the last six years. And Supreme Master Ching Hai is the best leader, the best guide you could ever dream of. She is an amazing leader. She’s united a lot of different cultures, a lot of different religions. I mean, if you see the variety of people that follow this spiritual practice, you would see people from all walks of life, all kinds of religions: Christians, Buddhists, Muslims. So, She basically, with Her teachings, She unites the world. So that’s what impresses me most about Her, and of course, the way She advocates a very healthy lifestyle. She advocates a vegan lifestyle. She advocates no intoxicants, no alcohol, no cigarettes. So it’s amazing.”

“I’m vegetarian since birth, so I’m perfectly fine. You can see I’m hale and hearty, no complications. I’m over 60. So I don’t see why more people don’t become vegetarian. Amongst us Hindus, so many people are vegetarians. There are so many masters living in the Himalayas, they’re all vegetarians. They have only fruits, yet they survive up till the age of 100. So that is a very good example.”
