In today’s news, Turkish charity donates food items to assist flood and conflict victims in South Sudan, doctor warns Omicron variant is world’s second most contagious known virus, British group unveils design for zero carbon jet airplane, tree in South America has been thriving for over 2,500 years, Brazilian pro big wave surfer rescues fellow athlete from drowning in Portugal, American brand’s plant-based tuna crowned as one of “The Best Inventions 2021” by TIME, and Indonesian police rescue 53 dog-people from slaughterhouse.

Turkish non-profit delivers timely food assistance to South Sudan.

The Turkish Red Crescent has donated 31 tons of food to relieve food shortages faced by 12,000 flood victims and conflict-affected people in South Sudan. The aid was handed over to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) at a ceremony in Juba led by the Turkish Ambassador to South Sudan, His Excellency Erdem Mutaf, who stated that the “symbolic and very important” contribution demonstrates the strong relationship between Turkey and South Sudan. The aid will be delivered to the most vulnerable people through a joint effort between the Turkish Red Crescent, South Sudan Red Cross Crescent, and the South Sudan Islamic Council with logistical assistance from the WFP. Our sincere accolades, Turkish Red Crescent and partners, for your compassionate assistance to our brothers and sisters in South Sudan during difficult times. May the faithful South Sudanese be always nourished, in Heaven’s infinite protective power.

Physician cautions Omicron variant is second most transmissible known disease globally.

At a December 21, 2021 press conference, Dr. Claudia Hoyen, a co-director of infection control at the Ohio, United States-based University Hospitals, soberingly warned that the Omicron strain of SARS-CoV-2 is the second most contagious virus on the planet, behind measles. She also emphasized that healthcare professionals must treat it as deadly as other COVID variants. Dr. Hoyen highlighted that data released by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on December 20, 2021, showed that the highly transmissible variant was the dominant COVID-19 strain in the country, representing 73% of new cases, which was a huge jump from 12.6% of the previous week. Alarmingly, as of December 2021, in some parts of the US Northwest, South, Southeast, and Northeast, the Omicron variant accounts for over 90% of new infections. Many thanks for the vital warnings, Dr. Claudia Hoyen and United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To avert lethal zoonotic outbreaks, may every nation urgently ban meat consumption and implement Vegan Law, in God’s Wisdom. Vegan: all the world looks up 2 u.

Up next, British group unveils design for zero carbon jet airplane. We are going to take some time to thank the street artists for bringing joy and upliftment with their music and art. When we return, more distinguished news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Good day, compassionate friends! I’m Henry, a vegan lad from the Hoopoe kingdom. My friends ask me why my crown of feathers looks shinier. I tell them it must be because of my plant-based diet! Here is a tip on how to keep your nasal passages open when experiencing congestion or sinus problems. Flushing saltwater through your nasal passages not only clears thick or dried mucous but also improves the cilia’s function to empty out the sinuses. You can make a saline solution at home or purchase saline nose drops at a local pharmacy. To make your own, pour 1 cup (240 milliliters) of distilled water into a clean container. If you are using tap water, you should sterilize it first by boiling it. Then, allow it to cool down until it’s lukewarm. Next, add 0.5 teaspoons (2.5 grams) each of salt and baking soda to the water. Lastly, while your mouth is open, use a squeeze bottle, neti pot, or bulb syringe to pour the water into your nostril as you lean forward, roughly at a 45-degree angle, toward a sink. Be sure to breathe through your mouth and not the nose. The solution will flow to your other nostril and/or mouth, and you should spit it out. You will be feeling much better once your nasal passages are clear! Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

British research group reveals design for zero emissions concept jet.

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) from the United Kingdom, recently unveiled the FlyZero concept, a hydrogen-powered commercial jet aircraft that will produce zero emissions and match the performance of current planes. ATI is a partnership between the UK government and industry, with the government investing £1.95 billion between 2013 and 2026, and a matching contribution by industry. The group expects that hydrogen jets will be operational by the mid-2030s. Its current concept envisions a plane that can carry 279 people from London, UK, to San Francisco, United States, in the same amount of time as current aircraft. The United Kingdom is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Caring Award, Shining World Wise Leadership Award, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, Animal Protection and Kindness. Way to go, Aerospace Technology Institute, on your zero carbon, future of flight project. In Divine abundance, may we quickly work towards reforming our current technology towards benevolent alternatives that respect the planet and all life.

Tree in South America flourishes for 26 centuries.

“El Alerce Abuelo,” (“The Grandfather Larch”), 57 meters tall with a 2.8 meter diameter has been thriving for over 2,600 years in Los Alerces National Park in Chubut province, Argentina. The park, which was established to protect Alerce (larch) trees, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2017. The tree type, which belongs to the second-longest living tree species in the world, can grow 0.6 to 1.6 millimeters annually. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s list of threatened species, the Alerce tree is categorized as endangered due to its decreasing population. Such a wonder of nature, to be able to live for more than 26 centuries! Argentina is a Shining World Leadership Award for Justice recipient. Our gratitude, government of Argentina, for protecting these marvelous trees. In Heaven’s watchful gaze, may we be righteous guardians of the miraculous natural world on this wonderful planet.

Brazilian pro surfer saves life of fellow athlete in Portugal.

The waves of Nazaré are spectacular and frightening but still attract big wave riders from around the world. Professional big wave surfer Andrew Cotton, from the UK, had a close call when he fell off his surfboard and was tossed around like a doll between the rocks and the monstrous waves off Nazaré’s coast. Fortunately, Brazilian pro surfer Marcelo Luna was in the area when he heard the shouting of onlookers from the cliff. The video footage shows Mr. Luna jet skiing to Andrew, despite the dangers of the life-threatening waves, and pulling his fellow surfer out of harm’s way in minutes. Great job, Marcelo Luna, for taking action without hesitation! May you safely surf many more exciting waves, Andrew Cotton. Best wishes to all surfers on your journey to conquer the highest waves, in Celestial jubilation. Vegan side effect: can’t change the surname 2 Dracula.

Coming up, American brand’s plant-based tuna crowned as one of “The Best Inventions 2021” by TIME. We’ll just pause to learn about the benefits of holy basil or tulsi, an aromatic perennial herb widely cultivated in the Indian subcontinent that is used to make tea and in Ayurvedic medicine. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Gracious News for a Kinder World.

American brand’s vegan tuna named one of TIME’s 100 Best Inventions of 2021.

Renowned US media company TIME annually compiles a list of top creations that are improving our world. In choosing vegan Kuleana Tuna, TIME cited its innovative ingredients, major health benefits, and contribution to sustainability. Made from algae, radish, potato, bamboo and koji, a fungus from East Asia, the nutritious tuna alternative contains iron, vitamin B12 and omega fatty acids. With a deep red color similar to its animal-people-based counterpart, the delectable sushi-grade product is also free from microplastics, mercury, and high cholesterol. Expressing his appreciation for the TIME magazine inclusion, Kuleana’s co-founder, Jacek Prus, said, “We are on a mission to sustainably and satisfyingly feed the world’s next billion.” Our hearty thanks, Kuleana, for helping to save tuna-people’s lives by promoting a tasty vegan option. Our praises, TIME, for spreading this good news. May all on Earth turn vegan now, in the Providence’s everlasting protection.

Indonesian police rescue dog-persons from slaughter.

Police in Indonesia recently intercepted a delivery truck filled with 53 dog-persons in Sukoharjo, on Java island, and arrested a suspected dog-person trafficker. It was the country’s first-ever large-scale police raid on the illegal canine-people trade. Members of Dog Meat Free Indonesia (DMFI) aided in the rescue and provided immediate medical assistance. The terrified dog-people, who were tied up in sacks with their mouths tightly bound, were mostly under a year old and emaciated. They were transported to a temporary DMFI shelter, where they received loving care and will hopefully be reunited with their families. Otherwise, the beautiful dog-people will be locally adopted or flown to Shining World Compassion Award recipient Humane Society International’s temporary shelter in Canada to be adopted into forever homes. Bravo, Indonesian police and DMFI, on your noble efforts to protect and save our beloved canine-person friends. May we soon put an end to these barbarous practices in God’s merciful Upliftment.

Let’s jump into a fun moment with the joke of the day we have prepared. It’s called “See You At Work.”

A man calls up his supervisor to explain why he won’t be coming to the office…

“Good morning, boss. I can’t come into work today due to very heavy rains. I’m literally living on an island now.”

“I recall seeing in your job application that you had put swimming as one of your hobbies. So, see you at work!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Mỹ Hương in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Beloved Master, During the pandemic outbreak in mid-2021, the Covid-19 infected cases increased every day. Seeing that, the initiates cooked vegan meals to donate to the quarantine or lockdown areas and many other places. To each vegan meal, the initiates also attached the “Alternative Living” flyer, and the QR (Quick Response) code to log in to Supreme Master TV (picture attached. And when offering gifts to the vulnerable people, we also attached the Alternative Living flyer and stuck the QR code onto all of the products. I observed that during the time we did that, the infected cases reduced significantly. From 4,000-6,000 cases each day, it went down to below 4,000 continuously for a period of time, until the city started to enforce the curfew. Then, no one could go out anywhere, and the vegan restaurants had to stop serving. Then the infected cases gradually increased again. And when the police department told us not to spread the QR code to log in to Supreme Master TV anymore, then the infected cases increased a lot. We could not use the QR code to stick onto the gifts anymore. We were very sad because it’s not as meaningful if we could only offer food to sustain people physically but couldn’t help them spiritually with what we have. Because we all know that if a person is aware of, or watches Supreme Master TV just for a few minutes, he or she would gain immense merits. Similarly, the Buddha said that if one just hears His name, one could have immense merits.

The governmental officers and the citizens are very good. The cadets always support the people, helping them wholeheartedly. Even in carrying out the instructions from the central government, the cadets are also very flexible, very sympathetic to the citizens. Therefore, the citizens also are very willing to adhere to the rules, so there were only very, very few cases of rioting.

Because of love, I am also very sorry, and don’t know any way to let the loving government and citizens here know that being vegan is the solution to save the Earth, to prevent the pandemic, as well as the benefits and immense merits when watching Supreme Master TV. Even the heavenly beings would like this channel very much because of the positive energy, spiritual upliftment and immense merits it offers. Many medical staff who examined the patients every week were also infected with Covid-19. But there was a time when we served more than 200 vegan food portions to the medical staff for lunch at a facility where they registered to get vegan food. Then after that, the number of infected medical staff cases was found to have reduced quite a lot. It was regrettable that the rule made going out on the street more difficult, so we could not continue to serve vegan food anymore. Respectfully, Mỹ Hương from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Diligent Mỹ Hương, We are heartened to know that you and the caring initiates joined hands in offering nutritious vegan meals to those in need during the COVID-19 lockdown in your part of the world. Despite risking your own safety, your willingness to serve others with selfless ideals in mind is the mark of nobility. May your efforts sow the seeds of goodness and fortune for all of you and your beloved country, Âu Lạc (Vietnam).

Master has some words of comfort for you: “Many thanks to you, kind Mỹ Hương, and the fellow initiates, for your supportive, loving actions carried out through your humanitarian aid, from distributing flyers to providing hearty vegan meals for your fellow citizens. I feel a deep sorrow for those who have lost loved ones to this pandemic and pray that the world’s leaders will implement Vegan Law immediately to help save precious lives and our only planet. May Buddha’s eternal Light help guide you and the big-hearted people of Âu Lạc (Vietnam).”

“Even in early childhood I felt a deep reluctance to see animals being dragged to the slaughter, and I asked myself the question: Does man have a right to kill harmless and cute animals and to feed on their flesh?” ~ Gustav Struve (vegetarian)
