Today, we will explore the ancient practice of numerology, how it came to be, the history behind it, and the mystery and wisdom of numbers.While numerology can be traced thousands of years back in ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian, and Greek history, modern numerology has been attributed to Pythagoras – the ancient Ionian Greek philosopher and mathematician. It was believed that everything in the universe could be explained with numbers and that numbers and mathematics make up the source code of the universe in which we exist. Numbers 1, 4, and 7 are said to be masculine numbers, which typically embody traits such as individuality and assertiveness, whereas 2,5, and 8 are feminine, which will typically embody intuition and nurturing.
