Born in Venezuela, lived in England and Sweden, and currently residing in Barcelona, Spain, Alev talked to our Supreme Master TV team members about her music, illustrations, and her love for nature and the animal-people during an interview in November 2022. Alev fondly recalls her happy childhood in her home country, and her family’s nurturing of her love for nature and music. “Right now, I'm trying to write different kinds of lyrics. I'm trying to get more inspiration, positive things, and not only about my own experiences and my life, but also about what was happening in the world, what's happening with the planet, and the people who are suffering, the animals who are suffering, what can we do about it. I want to invite people to reflect on these subjects. And that's the kind of music that I want to write right now.”Alev expressed her concern for the destruction of the natural world and the future of our planet through her rendition of “Earth Song” by Michael Jackson (vegetarian). "What about sunrise? What about rain? What about all the things That you said we were to gain? What about killing fields? Is there a time? What about all the things That you said was yours and mine? Did you ever stop to notice All the blood we've shed before? Did you ever stop to notice This crying Earth, these weeping shores?" Alev’s caring for animal-people extends beyond adopting the compassionate diet. She joined the Art of Compassion Project, a circle of like-minded artists who create illustrations conveying messages that spread vegan awareness. Alev talked about a couple of her paintings that were part of the Compassion for Art Project exhibitions, “Time to Stop the Killing” and “Undersea Witness.” Compiling all the artworks she has created over the years, Alev published several storybooks for young readers, all of which are available on amazon.com.
