During the Lunar New Year celebration, Korean kids put on new traditional clothes and adults wish good fortunes for each other. Koreans also conduct offering ceremonies for our ancestors, and eat tteokguk or rice-cake soup for breakfast. Along with this, we celebrate this occasion with seasonal customs and village communal folk entertainment. As our national dietary staple is a pungent, spicy dish called kimchi, so here we will introduce these two special Seollal delicacies to you: Ginseng rice-cake soup together with Nabak - kimchi.
