I have a child health tip for us. Children can develop an acute viral infection in the mouth called herpangina. This will present as tiny ulcers or lumps that resemble blisters on the roof of the mouth or near the back of the throat. Babies and children under the age of 10 are frequently diagnosed with herpangina. Fever, sore throat, oral ulcers and blisters, appetite loss, trouble swallowing, drooling, and vomiting are some of the symptoms. As a result of sneezing or coughing, this virus is easily passed from person to person in settings like schools and daycare centers. The infections are contagious through indirect touch and can persist on shared items like toys for several days. Only symptom management is required for herpangina because the body can heal it by itself. If your child shows symptoms, keep them home from school and give them lots of love, care and rest. Increase fruits and plant-foods high in vitamin C, ensure good oral hygiene and avoid hot, stimulating or sugary drinks. According to Children's Health Network, herpangina fever typically subsides within 2-4 days, while ulcers can persist for up to a week. Most mild infections heal without doctor's intervention.
