A world-renowned physician, Dr. Neal Barnard is the Founder and President of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, and one of the world’s leading experts on the plant-based diet and health. Dr. Barnard works to influence U.S. policies that promote nutrition as part of medical care and advocates to stop the use of animals in education and research. He is a New York Times best-selling author with more than 90 scientific publications and 20 books under his mantle. Musically talented, Dr. Barnard has founded the bands Pop Maru, Verdun, and his current band CarbonWorks.

CarbonWorks is Dr. Barnard’s latest brainchild. Compared to Pop Maru and Verdun, CarbonWorks is even more diverse with incredible musicians and covers a broader music landscape. Dr. Barnard wrote the lullaby “Everything’s All Right” in hopes of assisting us in calming our nerves and easing our anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s enjoy this song. “Close your eyes Ever so slowly Let the day drift to sleep. And in the nighttime sky Stars like tiny butterflies And everything will be all right. The night has colors You can paint on the sky. Tuck your head under your wing Let’s see what dreams will bring You’ll see that everything’s all right.”

Dr. Barnard loves writing and composing music. Some of his compositions are purely musical while others carry profound messages, reflecting real-world thoughts and emotions. In an interview with MamaSezz, he said, “Some of my music does have a message, and if I can't reach your head, maybe I can reach your heart a little bit.”

Dr. Barnard strongly advocates adopting healthy sources of dopamine release so that we will be more at peace with making changes in our lives. If music is to be part of this process, then have fun! Many of the videos he has created can be found on the CarbonWorks channel. The song and video “Louder than Words” by Dr. Barnard is about our relationship with our animal friends and will likely cause all of us to become kinder to our co-inhabitants. According to Dr. Barnard, the song was inspired by a frightened little dog who was rescued.
