With the change of season, it is time to get the garden ready for planting and watering. I have a DIY tip to help you out. When it comes to attaching a hose to an inlet or outlet, you can create your own reliable hose clamps using wire. Prepare the piece of wire by folding it in half, creating a loop at one end. Hold the wire underneath the pipe with the loop facing upwards. Ensure the wire is long enough to accommodate a screwdriver through the loop. Wrap the free end of the wire around the hose at least twice, bringing it back to meet the looped end. Insert a screwdriver through the loop of the wire. Twist the loose end of the wire over the screwdriver and turn it to tighten the wire securely around the hose. Once tight, cut off any excess wire from the straight end and fold the knot over for safety.

The following joke was stamped with an official amusement sticker, meaning we’d better check it out. It’s entitled “Chin Concerns.”

Concerned that she might have put on a few kilograms, a girl asks her friend:

“Do you think my chin is getting fat?”

“Which one?”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Chiu-Yen in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Hallo, Respected and Beloved Master, The day before the Mid-Autumn Festival, my initiated husband and I took a walk along the Tamsui River. As we looked up at the sky, the beaming rays of light from the sunset and the layers of colors were dazzling like a rainbow! That was the first time we’d ever seen such rare, magnificent and beautiful scenery. A feeling of peace and tranquility rose in our hearts. The next day at dusk, as we looked towards Guan Yin Mountain from our balcony, colorful lights emitted again from the profile of Guan Yin in the sky. The blue, orange and golden light beams complemented one another like the Holy Light.

My husband said, “It looks like Master’s painting, ‘Night View of Yang Ming Mountain!’” After comparing them, we found that the sunset’s colors, widths and proportions were all very similar to those in that painting of Master’s from the past. The scenery before our eyes was like a replica of “Night View of Yang Ming Mountain.” I think Master must have seen the marvelous sunset glow back in those days, so She recorded the astonishing moment with Her paint brushes to share with the world. Being able to see the scenery Master saw with our own eyes was like walking on the path Master had walked. I’m deeply grateful for Master’s encouragement and inspiration. I feel that this was the call of God’s Presence, awakening the rainbow deep down in my heart. A rainbow is a symbol of peace and hope. I have to be more diligent in my spiritual practice from now on.

May people in the world wake up and no longer incur any killing karma. May more and more people become vegan in the world and more and more cities become vegan cities. May Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and angels in all Heavens join together to help and support Master’s compassionate grand wish. I believe World Peace is around the corner! I cordially wish Master good health and safety. May all Your wishes come true. Respectfully, Chiu-Yen, a disciple from Taiwan (Formosa)

Lovely Chiu-Yen, Not many are fortunate to have experienced such a wondrous sighting, let alone a replica of Master’s very own painting in reality.

Here is some extra happiness from Her: “Gracious Chiu-Yen, the hidden gems in our vast Universe may be revealed to the sincere Quan Yin practitioners. It is a pity that many are unable to experience the Divine connection with Mother Nature due to the karmic hindrance caused by animal-people meat eating. Much love to you and your husband. May you and your art-loving Taiwanese (Formosan) co-citizens soon rejoice in World Vegan, World Peace, in Buddha’s splendor.”
