Even the past or the present master, if any master teaches you any conduct that is not supposed to enable you to be a nobler person, then you know it’s a no, no, no! No matter what he said. No matter how much spiritual power or magical power he showed to you to impress you. Precepts, moral standards, being loving and kind and good to others are at least the basic principles of any Master who has heart and spiritual attainment. So the Master or any Buddha has to be definitely protector of people’s life, of animal’s life to lessen any possible suffering from any beings. Then you know he or she at least will not lead you to hell.
