Buddhist Stories: Wish-Fulfilling Jewels, Part 9 of 10 Aug. 13, 2015

“Thank You, Master, for reading these beautiful sutras for us in the last days. And this really enlightens our minds to understand the Buddhists, and what Shakyamuni Buddha has done for us, for the living beings.” “We are very happy there are also ways for the people, if they pray to the Buddhas or Christ, they have some ways to liberate.” “Because it’s difficult for all to be initiated, or meditate.” So just tell them to read the sutra. But they have to believe sincerely also. So that, this belief, this sincerity will connect with the Buddha power. Not just blah, blah, blah, blah. Connecting from inside. So they have to be sincere, humble, really request. Even though you say reciting the Buddha’s name, and the past Buddha, and then, or do something, then finally you will be Buddha. But meanwhile, there are so many thousands, hundreds of eons passed already. And then, even then, you might be led into temptation and having suffering meanwhile. So no matter what. Of course enlightenment, immediate enlightenment is the best. So you have the one lifetime, finished. If you practice directly, the (inner Heavenly) Light and the Sound of the universe, then you are directly in. Don’t have to be reborn again, and enjoy the merit or suffer the sin. It’s the best.

Buddhist Stories: Wish-Fulfilling Jewels, Part 10 of 10 Aug. 13, 2015

When you’re practicing, all the Buddhas in the past, meaning all the Masters in the past, and present, are helping you also. Blessing you all the time. All the angels are protecting you. But you have to be really sincere, so you can connect better. When you’re born in here, you forget your merit. And then the maya and all that just try to drag you down, and doing one mistake, and then you’re finished. Maybe, the merit is still there. The merit of painting the stupa is still there. But you don’t reap it until many other lifetimes. And meanwhile, you suffer already, because you killed a buffalo. Just one buffalo, an animal, not like killing a human being even. Then suffer 500 lifetimes, being killed, being killed, being chased. Dying in the prime of youth. Even if you have strong power, muscle and all that, you still get killed. And then the mother, the old woman, because of helping them to kill the buffalo, just helping and eating. Not like she was the main one who wanted to kill the buffalo. She was just helping. Just lending her things and her yard. And then still, she had to be the mother of these 32 people. And suffer life after life, seeing them killed in front of her eyes in such a way. Otherwise, Buddha’s sutra, Buddha’s name, so that you don’t go to hell. But it’s just the problem. One problem is that, even at the time of death, before you go into the Three Evil Paths, just before that, even if you remember Buddha’s name, just one Buddha’s name, or one sentence from here, then the road to hell is closed for you, even if you’ve done a lot of bad things. Everything is illusion anyway, killing, stealing, robbing. This is all back and forth with karma in the cycle of revenge and back and forth, each other. So therefore, the name of the Buddha is true. At least truer than those karmic consequences. So if you repeat the names of the Buddha, meaning your mind, your thinking is toward the truth, instead of toward the fake, then immediately, the hell and other bad destinies are closed in front of you. So at least you are saved for that life. Then you will be born in maybe Heaven, or as a human being. But then who knows the next life, if you even remember the Buddha’s name again. If nobody, anybody reminds you again. It’s not like all the persons on the planet know the names of these Buddhas, even though Buddhism is spreading everywhere. But most of the Buddhist monks, they are modest. If you offer them something, then they take it. If you don’t offer it, they don’t do anything. If you build the temple, help them to build temple, then they accept and they stay there. And if you want, if you come and ask them about Buddhist sutras then they will tell you. If you don’t ask, they also don’t tell you. They’re not like outgoing, make lecture everywhere, everybody knows the Buddha’s name. You see what I mean? Therefore, even to know the Buddha’s name is very difficult already. And then... OK, you are rescued that lifetime when you die. Then you’re not going to hell. But you don’t know about the next life. Suppose you even know the names of the Buddha. When you’re dying, all the (bad) karma comes and tears you apart. Your thoughts, your body, it is all in pain, mostly, if you were very sinful when you were alive, then when you die, it’s very suffering. And maybe you can’t even remember the name of the Buddha. So at least just say, “Pray to all the Buddhas in the Ten Directions. Please, rescue me.” Just say that because the names are sometimes difficult. So just remember one name, maybe Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Earth Store Bodhisattva, these simple names, or Quan Yin Bodhisattva. Tell them that. That’s why many people just tell the outside laypeople to recite Quan Yin Bodhisattva. Or Shakyamuni, it’s easier, because They are famous. Or Amitabha. Otherwise, all the names of other Buddhas, it’s very difficult to remember all. One name is enough. It’s just only... The difficulty is that only if you remember it at the time of dying, or anyone reminds you of that. That is a problem. But I also sing, I sing this song, “Namo Amitabha Buddha” in Chinese. That’s also good. You just give it to them, to the Buddhist. They don’t mind, they accept it. They don’t care about me, about my teaching. But they know I’m singing the Buddha’s name. That will be OK in their ears. That’s why I sing it. Even the Catholics heard it, OK too. The Sikhs heard it, OK too. It’s still the name of the Buddha. The Buddhas don’t care if you’re Sikh, or if you are Hindu. They are all the same up there. They’re all friends. The Sikh Guru is also a Buddha. The Hindu Master, also a Buddha. So it doesn’t matter. You use just one tape like that, it’s OK. That is why there is a tradition when people die, they invite the priest. Some don’t even know why. But when they come, they read the name of Jesus Christ, for example. Or they read the names of some Hindu Masters, or some Sikh Guru. Then you hear the name of the Buddha when you die. That’s a Buddha, any Buddha. Then you’re also rescued for that moment from hell fire. Once you’re out of it, then you have more chance to improve, and then to be rescued more later. If you are in hell already, then you stay there, until don’t know when, until your sin is finished. Once the sentence is already passed down, it’s very difficult, very difficult. Unless you have a living Master, already initiated, maybe. It depends also on the power of that Master, and on the sin that you made. You think, “OK, it’s one name of the Buddha, I remember.” Even if you are not an initiate, you say you remember. But at the time of death, maybe not. Just on the verge of death, you have to recite it then. Or before you go into hell, at the hell gate, you must recite it then. In the 49 days, if people keep repeating it to you, then maybe you’re OK. But if not then... this is so much suffering there. You heard it, right? It’s terrible, terrible. And when it’s forever, forever, forever like that, then it’s really, really... I don’t know how anyone could even fall into that and bear it. Sometimes you’re sick, you have headache just two, three hours, and you couldn’t bear already. Imagine. Or you’re operated on, or you cut yourself, or wounded, have to bandage, or cast, you know, in a cast, and you’re terrible already. Imagine anything else, forever, forever like that, day and night, non-stop. Oh, God! It is precious to be human, but it’s a curse also. It depends on how you take care of your life. Very difficult to go on the right path, because survival leads you to every opposite or bad directions which you don’t even want. But then slowly you’re in there, and you can’t go out anymore. You don’t remember even how to get out. Survival makes you do many things. And even when you die, if you don’t have a Master, or if you don’t have somebody to read sutras, or to remind you the name of a Buddha, many of the ghosts will come in these 49 days. Or when you’re dying, they come and appear like your dead father, or your passed mother, or brother and sister, auntie, whatever. They come and say, “Hey, come with me, this is the way.” And you trust them, because you think these are relatives. So you’re attacked by all sides, by your own karma, and by the ghosts. And, so if there is no benevolent being, such as the Ghost King of Life, or the Earth Store Bodhisattva, who would try so mightily, to fight away these ghosts, then you’d fall anytime into hell. Of course, you don’t have to remember any of them. If you have one Master, it’s good. Just many others don’t have. Many others don’t have. A lot of people in the world don’t have anything. They don’t even believe in Jesus, or Buddha, or Guru Nanak, or Mahavira, or any good things. Many. That’s really pitiful. OK, oh my God, 10 o’clock already? Did you eat? (Yes.) Dinner, dinner? (Already.) Lunch? (Yes.) OK. It’s very good, it’s very good. What else do you want me to do? It’s a long story but... You are going tomorrow, or today, some of you? (Tomorrow, tomorrow...) Tomorrow? (Yes.) OK. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. Good. And these, next day? After tomorrow? OK. And these after, after, after tomorrow? (Tomorrow.) (Tomorrow.) Tomorrow. Have a good trip, yes. We probably see each other again somewhere or here. This retreat is good. I feel it’s good. That I have a little more balance, like I have my retreat time, and I have time for you, and time to do some other things, and time to give comfort to my dogs. Last retreat was crazy. I fell very badly ill afterwards, because of bad treatment of my body. Did not take care well. Too much work, and nothing coming for the physical repairment. It was really terrible. So we should not do this kind of extreme thing anymore. Just everybody comes and they all want to see me. And I just work, and work, and work, and I see one group after another. And no time to rest, no time to recover, no time to eat, no time. And get sick, and don’t have time to take medicine. If I take medicine, then just some little (vegan) biscuits like that every day, and it was too much. We don’t go to that extreme anymore. This time is good. Also last time, (bad) karma don’t let me stay here. So every night at two, three o’clock in the morning, I have to go home. Go home, too tired. Nothing there to replenish the physical energy. And so I got very sick. But it’s not only that, it’s something else, also (bad) karma. So this time, I stay here. I don’t waste at least three hours coming and going. Because from here to the house where I stay is about one hour or one hour and a half. More than one hour, I think. So I wasted all that time also to come and go. Some of you are just 45 minutes away from your home, and you complain already. Sometimes I have to travel far away to see you and even to come here. Do not complain. Whatever you have is good. In your place, if you can buy a Center for yourself, if you can afford it, that is very good. You know it’s yours, and the energy is always the same. A rental place is not always the same. Whatever it is, it’s not always bad for us. We have to think more positively, and do not complain too much. You just meditate well, sincerely, and everything will come accordingly. Just one person is easy to take care. Like the husband meditates, and dedicates his merit to his wife. Then it’s easy, because they live together. Every day, their energies are similar. And for one person, it’s easy. But even then, it takes this man one month. Every day, three hours. Oh, God! Who can do so much for his wife? But then, even then, one person only. Not to talk about such a mix, a big pot of karmas and egos. This is very difficult for me sometimes. You sit and you dream, and you think everything is easy for Master. It’s not like that. Even the Buddha. If you don’t believe me, at least the Buddha is the greatest. Suppose Buddha is the greatest. And look at all His disciples. Sariputra didn’t even want to take the old man in, because he was old and could not help the other monks to take care of the things. And then the other monks refused him, for example. Devadatta, His cousin, was trying to harm Him all the time. I’m sure there are many more who are not too good disciples. But Sariputra just has that one mistake. But otherwise, in those times, people are less “fighty,” less stubborn than now. They have more time. They don’t have television. They don’t have sports Sunday. They don’t have football games and all kind of games. They don’t have cars. Their mind is purer, easier. Even then, He still had trouble. Some people want to harm Him and all that stuff. You just read that some disciples are offering gold to pave the garden, a forest for Him. But you don’t read the many other hardships He had, even as a Buddha. And then, even then at that time, people were purer already. Less contaminated in the brain from so many toxins, chemical toxins and all that, that we have right now. So their brain was more simple, cleaner, easier to talk to. Nowadays, we are contaminated with all kinds of poisons. From methane, from CO2, from food that we eat with insecticide and pesticides. And the water we drink with the chemicals running in it that we’ve ruined. Nowadays, if the Buddha comes here, He would not even think of, “OK, I should go to Nirvana.” He would just go. Understand? (Yes.) When the Buddha just became a Buddha, He observed that the beings there were so difficult to teach. He said it’s better He go to Nirvana. He was just thinking like that. But now if He came here, He’d look, look, and He’d... He wouldn’t even think. He’d just go. So the Brahmin King would have no chance to come down, and beg Him to stay even. Because Buddha was thinking. So He has a chance to come down, fly down and stop, interfere. And told Buddha please stay, because of this, because of that. But if He just goes, then he has no chance. Even then, all the Heavens and Earth and hell praise Him that He’s great, because He does things that are difficult to do. He teaches the beings that are so difficult to teach. They praise Him sky high, in many sutras. If He comes here now, in our toxic time of body, mind, and spirit, then maybe all the Heavenly beings will fall down here, and prostrate to Him day and night, to praise Him. Don’t you think so? (Yes.) Luckily, He went before everything became worse. When He was alive, He predicted that five hundred years later, there would be the Dharma-ending age, kind of a Dharma-ruin age. People would be more troublesome, more stubborn, and more difficult. He doesn’t know, four times 500 years, 2,000 years, 3,000 years later, which is our time now. Can you imagine how much worse it has been? Only 500 years after His Nirvana, He predicted that it’s difficult already. Now it’s six times more than that. So you take care of your life. It’s your life. I can only tell you what to do, but I cannot force you. It is your life, your future. So you take good care of that. Because you don’t know if you can be born human, and have such a good condition again. Try not to complain a lot. Try to see things positively and accept the situation. But nevertheless, all the Centers should work together. Every time we do things without love, there’s a hole in our protective layer, personally as well. Only peace and love can protect you more, apart from the Holy Names, and the Buddha’s power, and all that. When you’re practicing, all the Buddhas in the past, meaning all the Masters in the past, and present, are helping you also. Blessing you all the time. All the angels are protecting you. But you have to be really sincere, so you can connect better. It’s like the television, it has to be good, otherwise, it goes “ka, ka,” and then the picture will be jumpy. Not that the Buddhas, or the Saints in the past or present don’t bless you. It’s just you don’t get it. So you have to take care of yourself. Wherever you go, take care of yourself, and tell others to be more modest, more humble, more cooperative. There is no winner and loser in our circle, just brothers and sisters. I trust you would all do that. Thank you. Take care of yourselves. I love you. I love you. (Master.) Everyone just learn “I love you.” Otherwise, how do I speak so many kinds of languages, it’s too tiring. (Thank You, Master.) Do you all understand? (Yes.) I mean you understand all clear in here. Good. (Thank You, Master.) Everybody take care, OK? (Master, please take care of Yourself.) I’m sorry that I can’t take care of everyone. (It’s already very good.) Bring the (vegan) cookies to me. (Yes, take these cookies.) OK. (Thank You, Master.) You’re going back home, right? Tomorrow? (The day after tomorrow.) The day after tomorrow. Going tomorrow? Come back again if you have time, have opportunity. (Thank You, Master.) Send my greetings to everyone, OK? (OK. Thank You, Master.) (Take care, Master.) God bless! (God bless Master.) You’re all monks, sleeping outside. (Thank You, Master. Bye, bye.) Really hard you are! Not enough place, too hard! So pitiful. (Bye, Master. We’ll leave tomorrow.) You’ll go back tomorrow? Have a nice trip. (We’ll leave tomorrow. I wish Master good health. Thank You, Master.) Sorry. There isn’t enough room. (Thank You, Master. Master, stay healthy. Thank You, Master.) May God protects you. (Thank You, Master.) See you. Thank you for coming to see Master. (Thank You, Master.) (Love You, Master.) (I wish Master good health.) Thank you. Thank you. Have a nice trip home. God bless. (Master, please take care.) Take care. God bless! (You too, Master.) Thank you. God bless!

Just chat, chat, chat with the workers. They have been working very hard. Because if there are too many people, then they cannot come in. they just stand next to the fence somewhere waiting, waving. So, today, I let them be the first. I’ve never known one Iranian to have doubts about the Quan Yin Method. It’s absolute for them, because they’re brought up in this kind of teaching and they understand. Just because they didn’t know there are Masters. If they know that there is a Master who can give them the (inner Heavenly) Sound, oh, immediately and no doubts ever. Because they already know that. The system is like that. When a human is born, he’s already bound by tradition or by the established religion, so it’s very difficult for him to find the True Path. If he’s not being bound by social tradition, then, and even if he wants to seek the Truth, he will be bound by religious custom and all that, and a lot of work, a lot of work, and then he’ll be lost in those rituals and traditions, and he will not be able to find the real religion.

I’ve told you many times. Many people said to me: “If I knew Master earlier, I wouldn’t have gotten married.” However, many still got married after they were initiated. They believe in their karma more than they believe in me. What can I do? Life after life, we have incurred lots of karma and tied a lot of affinities, especially with enemies; we always run into our enemies. It’s strange. They come even if you don’t want them. If you really don’t want them, they are even keener to come; it’s very troublesome. We are born free, so why bother? Before I became a renunciate, I talked to a Buddhist monk. He was very good at predicting the future. He said, “You will become higher and brighter than Your so-called masters.” At that time, I just laughed. I was only almost thirty, and a housewife. Not that I didn’t respect him, but I thought he was joking. It was many decades later, that I realized how terrific he was.

Овладейте ума, за да проявите напълно своята Буда природа, част 1 от 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Even if you are high level, you have to train your mind. Understand this? You’re high level because of God’s grace. It’s not necessarily always your merit. The mind, it’s never gone to the Fifth Level, understand? Can never! So, it’s not just that you have some billions of points, you become Buddhas, and that’s that. You have to remember to refine your character and to train your mind to be efficient in every way possible, and to direct the mind always into service, unconditional love. The soul is OK already. The soul, I take care. Now, you have to take care of your mind, your character, your heart, because it’s possible that even though you’ve become a Buddha, but your mind has stood still for a while, rusty, and you forget to be vigilant. To be Master of the mind.

Овладейте ума, за да проявите напълно своята Буда природа, част 2 от 3 Mar. 3, 2005

So, everything you do in life, do not think that it is a small thing. You just do your small things perfectly, and the world is perfect. Because, the world is made up of all these small particles of things. That’s why Buddha confessed that He’s only human like everybody else, and He became Buddha, and everyone else, all His disciples, will also become Buddha. But that’s it. It’s just like in a university, one smart student is picked, chosen by a professor, to help him sometimes with the homework, and to explain some subject when the professor is not there. That happens in university sometimes, so you know it, all right? It is good, but even then it’s so rare! Remember, only three? No, now four. One more from France. And now one more from Finland, and one more from Austria. Oh, Estonia! That’s another Buddha, the only one female, and the whole is a male kingdom, look at that! (Wow!) Good! Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations! It’s kind of sudden. I should have told you to guess around, and it’s more fun, no? Oh, dear! Oh, we missed the game! It’s rare. It’s rare! Even though you meditated all these days and I gave you the Gift and all that, none of you have come up. But those, they’re already at the border, almost there, or no, at the highest Fourth Level, so when they come here, I just lift them up, easy! No problem! Just one hand, “tsak!” But they have come here! If they didn’t come here, they wouldn’t have had it. It’s good! Anyway, even though the graduate Buddhas are so rare, and the high-level Saint is hard, that hard, but they still have a little fault. You know, like a diamond, the flawless is difficult to find, all right? Because, it was a bad time for the planet, and everything was going downhill. And then, so, the beings were also under big pressure, we didn’t have that many Buddhas. Of course, it wasn’t a Golden Age on Earth. Now it is! So, we have five Buddhas... six Buddhas in Europe. It’s very good already! Twenty years’ hard work, six Buddhas! It’s not a very lucrative business, is it? All right, never mind. Congratulations, you two! Did you understand what I was saying? (I’ll have a think later.) Think it later, I know. You’re still thinking, huh? Yeah, yeah! It’s good! It’s good! You have to think. I know that. You still don’t understand what it is. You don’t understand yet. You have become Buddhas, Fifth Level, both of you! And not all of them are. But never mind, you don’t understand. Understand later. Later on, they will make you understand. All of these people, they will. We can celebrate a little bit. There, there. Can you give it to them? (Yes, Master.) Everybody takes one. The front first. (Take some.) Over there, the front first, and then the front passes to the back; and run around. And be quiet, OK? Just take a little bit and run around. Oh, it takes so long. Let me do it. Come. It’s quicker! It’s quicker like this. Takes too long. There! There, the ones inside there. OK? There! Yeah! There! There! Voila! There! See it’s quicker. There, Buddha! France! There you are, the “organic” Buddha! This is more fun. You are like dogs. I give things to my dog, he hides it somewhere and then comes back for more. And then I thought he doesn’t have any! OK, later he eats all, and then goes over there, digs, and eats after. Smart dog! What shall we do now? You were done, right? Can I have a question? (Yes.) Do these clothes make me fat? (No!) No? (No!) Not fat? (No!) (Very beautiful.) Hungarian tradition. Traditional. Traditional Hungarian. Huh? (Like a princess.) Oh, really? Princess. (Yes.) Oh, it’s too simple to be a princess! A few dollars, and then you have a princess. Thank you very much. I am just kidding. I imitate Mulan. The big guy, chubby guy, he wears women’s clothes to go inside the palace, pretends to be a concubine. He said, “Do these clothes make me fat?” Just kidding. Kidding, kidding, kidding. Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter. You know, this city, this country is funny. One side “Buddha”, one side “Pest.” You know that. How do they know the pests always follow the Buddhas? And besides, many people in Budapest, they make themselves look like Buddha! I saw many yesterday. You know, they shave their head a lot. The chef in one of the kitchens, he shaves his head, and he came out and looked at me: I said, “Oh, you look like a Buddha!” Perhaps because he lives in Budapest. A lot of people shave their head! And when we drove home, I saw many drivers or non-drivers passing by, they’re all bald heads, you know, like the Buddhist monk. It’s very funny! Maybe it’s a fashion now? Fashion in Europe or in Hungary? (In Europe. All over.) All over Europe now? Fashion? That saves us a lot of problems. Where are we? The Buddha is easy to train, the mind is not. So, it’s not every practitioner that is picked by Heaven to be a Master. Suppose I am not on Earth, and some human or some practitioner from the Third World upward is picked to be a Master for this planet, then he also should have a good character, you know, charming personality, and above all, an iron stamina to work, work, work, work, work, work, work, and endure all kinds of hardship and pressure. So, it’s easy to become a Buddha; it’s not easy to stay like one. But I do hope, and I think, these five will stay, and keep developing, not coming down to a lower level. And other people, please, please, hurry up! All right? Anything that you are attached to, and you know it’s not good for you, try to “ka-cha, ka-cha, ka-cha!” By big scissors, you know? If it is a small scissors and cannot cut, then buy a big, you know, the gardener’s scissors - long, long blade. And you can cut from here, even! You saw the gardener’s scissors? Long, from there to there! You stay here, and you cut, cut, cut, cut. And then some even longer, so they can cut branches up there. They just pull a string, “cha” and then a branch comes down. Maybe a lot of you need those. Big ones! The big scissors, they could cut branches, trees. Right! I am the one who would like all the people to come the most, but I cannot, OK? Not at the moment. Maybe in the future. Maybe when they’re higher a little bit, then they will not throw dirt on everybody when they come here and they will not cause trouble, then they can come. No need to force things to happen. When the child cannot walk yet, then don’t force him to run. It will cause trouble, and it will hurt him and hurt the family members who have to take care of him afterward if he breaks (his) legs or something. Do you understand? (Yes!) Really? (Yes!) Otherwise, this time, only the Third-Level persons can come. Minimum is the border of Third Level, Second Level. But higher border, next to the Third. Not next to the Second Level border. The border is here, here, and then he stays there, next to the Second border. That is still low, and the negative can still hook him a little bit here and there, poke him here and there, or the feet, still can connect, and they might make trouble, understand now? We can wait, you know? Yeah, we can wait. Like this day we take some fruits which are already ripe, and the next day we take another batch of fruit, already ripe. And the day after, we take another batch of fruit. If we’re forced to take the green fruit down, we cannot eat it anyway. And it’s bad for the harvest, no? We take all the green, and then nothing ripens later on, and we can’t even use it! And it takes up space in the barn and in the farm, and nothing is good for anybody. Never mind about that. It’s very difficult for a person who has grown up, became a Buddha, and also be obedient at the same time. Because, he’s not used to it! He became already a family man, and everybody in the family already listens to him. He is used to just telling everybody what to do, and then he doesn’t know what it’s like to listen. Always: “Da, da, da, da, da!” You know, talk back, and doesn’t listen very well. And even if he listens well, he doesn’t do it. It’s very difficult to train your mind. I don’t care if you are a Buddha or not. It’s easier for me sometimes to use a non-Buddha. That’s why. You would think that I keep all the high-level Buddhas next to me. No, it’s not necessary! If you have humility and an obedient quality, that’s enough for me. No need IQ, no need Buddha, nothing! Because, I can use it. Easier if you just do what I tell you. Very easy! And I don’t ask for world peace. I just ask, for example, keep a walkie-talkie next to you, all the time, 24 hours, in case I call. Really, I don’t ask you anything more. Very, very small things! And I really am happy if you do it. Just a very small thing like that, just keep a walkie-talkie with you. And I even bought the walkie-talkie. I bought it on the airplane because I didn’t have time to shop. I bought it because I knew we are going to use it here, and I gave one to each, and one for me. You don’t even do much! Just one thing! It hurts me to have to take care of all these small things. And besides, I have a thousand other things to do. Once you do one little thing wrong, everything else is like a chain. One thing leads to another, and then you mess up the whole world because of that. And it is like a circle like that. So, everything you do in life, do not think that it is a small thing. You just do your small things perfectly, and the world is perfect. Because, the world is made up of all these small particles of things. Your body is made of very tiny, little, invisible cells, invisible to the naked eye. And if one or two of them are kaput, the whole body is in trouble. You know that? These eyes of yours, the pupils, so small, but if you don’t have those, your whole life is jeopardized. You know that or not? (Yes.) Don’t say it is a small thing. Or your eardrums, it’s about this much. But if you don’t have those, oh, your whole life is different, your whole world is falling apart.

Buddhist Stories: The Story of Ananda, the Names of Hells, and the Praise of the Buddha, Part 4 of 11 Aug. 10, 2015

“His strong voice reached to all the Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas in those Buddha Lands. ‘Listen today as I praise Earth Store Bodhisattva Mahasattva, who displays an inconceivable awesome spiritual strength and compassionate power throughout the Ten Directions as He rescues and protects beings when things happen to them as they suffer for offenses they have committed. After I pass into Transquility, all of you Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas and all of you gods, dragons, ghosts, spirits and others should use vast numbers of expedient devices to protect this Sutra and to cause all beings to testify to the bliss of Nirvana.’” “‘if in the future, good men or good women who, upon hearing Earth Store Bodhisattva Mahasattva’s name, place their palms together - praise Him, bow to Him, or gaze in worship, they will overcome thirty eon's worth of offenses.’” “‘Universally Expansive, if good men or good women gaze upon and bow but once to painted or drawn images of the Bodhisattva or ones made of clay or stone or lacquer or gold or silver or bronze; they will be reborn one hundred times in the Heaven of the Thirty-Three and will eternally avoid falling into the Evil Realms.’” This is all for the women or for the men who have no other method like Quan Yin Method or anything like that for liberation.

“Therefore, Universally Expansive, if you see people reading and reciting this sutra or even having a single thought of praise for it, or if you meet someone who reveres it, you should employ hundreds of thousands of expedient means to exhort such people to be diligent and not retreat.” “The relatives of those who recite, both old and young, now and in the future, will be apart from the Evil Paths.” “Universally Expansive, You should know of the beneficial deeds done by Earth Store Bodhisattva as He makes use of His indescribably many billions of great awesome spiritual powers. The beings of Jambudvipa have strong affinities with this Buddha.” They have to believe in it, to worship it, respect it, then they have benefit, because this sutra is not only the merit of the Earth Store Bodhisattva; it’s also this embodiment, blessed by the words of Shakyamuni Buddha as well. You see, double blessing. The Buddha did a good job, and all His friends, His sangha in collecting all this, because not everybody says all these things. Other sages, of course they teach Quan Yin Method is sufficient also. But this is for people who have no Mater, and no Quan Yin Method, and they’ll be reborn again and again. At least they will be reborn well, happy, protected.

Buddhist Stories: The Story of Ananda, the Names of Hells, and the Praise of the Buddha, Part 6 of 11 Aug. 10, 2015

This world is full of unfairness. That’s why you should get out, and then we talk in a better place, where we can talk in all fairness and no judgment, no unfair judgment. That’s why all the Masters, the Buddhas encourage people to get out, liberate, aim for liberation. Don’t aim for the merit in Heaven. Don’t aim for the merit on Earth. Don’t wish to be king or gods or devas, nothing. Just aim for Bodhi, enlightenment, Buddhahood at the end, see? Buddha is not here, they don’t find any Master, they don’t know any other things, so these past sutras are good for them to some extent. But the merit is just for Heaven and Earth merit, you see? When your merit runs out, you’ll be born like a human, or even animals, and suffering, ignorance, and then get worse if you don’t have anyone to guide you, any Master to teach you. Then you forget also, and you do bad things, too. The path of liberation is with the Quan Yin Method – gone forever! So you know, you know. Only to be in the Buddha’s path, means the enlightenment path and you cultivate compassion, love as well as wisdom. To have wisdom alone, to have merit alone is nothing – one day it will be gone.

Buddhist Stories: The Story of Ananda, the Names of Hells, and the Praise of the Buddha, Part 7 of 11 Aug. 10, 2015

The thing is, if people are kind to a Master or an elderly person, then they gain more merit. Nowadays, the humans are very contaminated by all kinds of views, all kinds of things, material influence as well as poisoned by the air around, the air we breathe, the water we drink also influences people. And where they were born, where they live also influence people a lot. What kind of business their family did behind. I just show you the way, you just have to walk. That’s why the more positive, the more meditation, the more your life changes! So you have to thank also yourself, because you have it in you. I just remind you that you have it, you have it! Don’t go that way, go this way then you’ll meet it, you will see it. So just do it. Positive, positive! Yeah, we cannot change anything that happens in life, but with a positive outlook, at least we’re happier. Sometimes we are trampled upon, and then God will lift us up so high that we never imagined. So just accept everything that happens to us. That would be the best solution in life. Of course, we do what we can to avoid or to better the situation, but if we cannot, then accept it with love and gratitude! You never know, God closes one door, open the others, many others!

“Master, how do You create that burning resolve for liberation? that iron determination for enlightenment, how do You create that within Yourself?” “Oh, I don't know. It's just there, I didn't create it. I love God, I want to find God, I want to share God's secret with everybody. So, I just went. I had no second thoughts on why and how come. Just do it. Then I just wanted to find God and Buddha in order to have some power to help myself and others. Just like that. If you really think God or realization of God is all that you want, then that's what you will find.” “We have many beings on this planet, and below and invisible as well. They are to be respected and treated as thus. Like we have animals, we respect them, love them. We have black skin, white skin, red skin, yellow skin, we respect them all, just different species. It doesn't mean that he's not enlightened.”

When you know if it’s your ego raising its head up, then you ignore it; you say, “No, that’s not right.” Then you change to what you think is right. And swallow your pride; if you know you’re wrong, just apologize. If you know it’s not the correct way, then try to do the correct one again. Always try, be vigilant. That’s all we can do. Because the ego is born with us so that we make trouble, so that we go into the wrong way so that we mess up our life. That’s the purposeㅡdelusion, delusion ego. You just don’t have ego and mistakes. You have also good things with you. You have the Five Precepts, you eat vegetarian (vegan), you meditate. Maybe ego is just one little part. Try to subdue it or ignore it. It’s a difficult question, difficult to do this. Even the Fifth Level Saint, if you reach the Fifth Level of spiritual consciousness, you still have 1% ego. It’s just a driving motion, a driving force so that we continue to live in this life. After you reach it, you can do with ego or not ego, can keep it or not.

I like Hsihu. I like it very much. I built it. I built all the caves and I built a little stream. And planted all the trees together with the monks at that time. We put up an umbrella, sunbrella, a big one, everyone sits under there or they go to the coffee shop or browse around the jewelry shop, the book shop and things like that, it's OK. I hope that all the monks change into a vegetarian diet, vegan diet, to make an example of love and compassion, example. If you eat all the beings, then who is there for you to ferry across? Who's left for you to liberate? They're all beings also. Can you stand up? Have a look? Thank you for your love. Special monks, huh? Most monks, they think they know everything, they should be teacher. They would not be so humble, come and ask to learn from someone else, especially the high-heeled lady like me. That's why I respect them a lot.
