The temples opened vegan restaurants? (Yes, the temples opened vegan restaurants and they were very crowded.) Because they were popular, right? Popular. (Yes. The demand was unbelievable. […] Master arranged for it to be that popular, Master. And the money, it all went to relief efforts. Nothing left.) Selling so good that the temples nearby opened up [restaurants] too? (Yes.) Well, that’s good. That’s good. (Yes. They were all nearby and many, Master.) So people are eating vegan a lot over there now. (Yes, now many people eat vegan. Later on, initiates from the US or faraway places also stopped by. Especially when a brother led a group of 80 people in total. Whoever made it there was overjoyed, and those who couldn’t go felt disappointed and blamed others for not informing them.) Visiting the restaurant.

(People over there really longed for Master.) Good. That’s a good comrade. It’s called “progress,” right? (There’s still a lot more, Master. But I’ll stop here, Master.) How do you say that in Aulacese (Vietnamese)? (Yes, it was all arranged. The sisters worked in solidarity, and no one took a single penny.) A true comrade. Good labor comrade! (Yes.) (Thank You, Master. Please continue to bless Âu Lạc [Vietnam] more, Master. Âu Lạc [Vietnam] has a mountain shaped like a mother carrying her child, it’s very tall, Master.) (Thank You, Master.)

Yeah. OK. Any other comrades have questions? Any concerns? Over there. Here. You’ve asked many times already, don’t ask again. You’ve been asking [questions] for days. Alright, just sit and wait for a bit. You’ve hugged hands and feet already. What more do you want? (I’d like to share something with Master.) (Yes, dear Master.) OK, OK, in a bit. (I wished, I really wished to come to the US to meet Master. Back home, fellow initiates heard I was coming to visit Master, and they were very happy. But half of them tried to stop me, Saying, “There’s terrorism and it’s cold over there.” But I was determined. I prayed to Master in my heart to let me come here to see You, then I’d be so happy. Yes, I’m just here to see Master. And next month, I’ll return home. I pray Master will bless me so that everything back in Âu Lạc [Vietnam] will go smoothly and happily.) Happy now? You’re very lucky. What else do you want? (Yes.) Things are more open over there now? (Yes.) People are more enthusiastic now, can go wherever they want.

(I’d like to add something, Master.) Adding something. Adding more seasoning. (Yes, later on the police invited me, Master. The provincial police called me and asked, “What religion do you follow?” I said, “I follow Buddhism.” They asked, “Then why don’t you go to the temple? You’re a disciple of [Supreme] Master Ching Hai what kind of Buddhism is that?” I said, “Yes, I follow [Supreme] Master Ching Hai. But I don’t go to the temple because the disciples there, some eat meat, some eat vegetarian. But I follow [Supreme] Master Ching Hai strictly. Her disciples must be completely vegan.” That’s how I answered.) Yes, then he went quiet, so I kept going. I said, “Officer, please consider [Supreme] Master Ching Hai is from Âu Lạc [Vietnam]. She went abroad to a civilized country, and everyone loves and respects Her, so why are we being difficult? If you realized, and wrote Her a letter inviting Her back, you’d have bags and bags of US dollars flowing in.”)

Luring children with candy. It’s not bags carrying money, it’s money carrying the bags. Don’t say things like that and mislead people, OK? Speak with proper moral reasoning. Don’t just bring up money all the time. (Yes.) (I got scolded, so…) No matter how many bags of money pour in, it’s still the same. (Yes.) So much money has poured in already. (Yes. Sometimes they wrote thank-you letters.) OK. Now over there… All governments are the same. They know we just practice spiritually and do relief work. We don’t trouble anyone. When something’s not right, we just say it. If anyone is wrong, we also speak up. Anyone, the same. If someone’s right, we say so. If they’re wrong, we say so.

OK. Any other comrades want to say something? If not, just sit and chill. This uncle here wants to say something. Hey, over here. (Master.) Wait a bit. This sister speaks first. (Yes.) Be quick. (Yes.) There are a lot of people here, can’t just sit and talk forever. (Dear Master, please allow me to share about the accident I had in Âu Lạc [Vietnam]. I went back last year, Master. My son-in-law said, “Mom, today I’ll take you and my wife down to Bà Rịa to celebrate my older brother’s birthday.” So on the way, when we were about 100 meters away from Thủ Đức’s crematorium, suddenly there was black smoke. My son-in-law said, “Why is there smoke from the fuel depot?” Just as he finished saying that, a truck from behind slammed into my car. The sound was huge. We thought the fuel depot had exploded. The back of our car was gone. Only the middle and front remained. The truck hit so hard, it pushed me forward quite a distance. So many people came. All four wheels were stuck, but the back part was gone. Only the front end remained. Six heads, three generations were sitting. Six of us in the back. My daughter and her husband in front. All six people, just sat there stunned. People rushed over and pried open the doors. They said, “Oh my God, this family must’ve had Divine protection. No way they could’ve survived this.”

The truck was huge, and our car was tiny. Just one hit could’ve sent us straight to the crematorium, which was only 100 meters away, Master. Without You, Master, our whole family would’ve ended up there, plain and simple, Master. I’m so grateful to You, Master! That’s why I wanted to come back here, to see You, to thank You in person. Everyone here is a fellow initiate. We travel different roads, but without Master, we’d be in crematorium already. As for me, I have no regrets. I’m 72 now, so even if I had gone into the crematorium, it would’ve been Master’s arrangement. But I had my grandkids, four young ones and my daughter, my son-in-law and my niece. So here, people came running to tell me, but I knew in my heart Master had saved me. But people rushed over, pried open the doors. When people opened the car, we all came out one by one, nine people total. People kept saying, “Oh my God, this family is a miracle. There’s no other explanation.” Even the little ones didn’t get injured. I’m telling Master the absolute truth. So here, I respectfully express my deep gratitude to Master! Master said She saves nine generations and by my count, that’s already five generations saved. That’s five generations! So I’m one, my daughter is two, my son-in-law is three… Then my four grandchildren make four more. And one niece who calls me auntie makes the fifth generation. Five generations Master saved! Clearly saved! That’s how I count it. Master do You agree? Definitely five generations saved. We all walked out in shock.)

That elder over there. (Yes.) You’re done, auntie? Go ahead, auntie. OK, go ahead. (Dear Master, I can’t hear anything at all.) Turn it on, auntie. (Dear Master, I’ve been in the US for a few months now, Master. And I was able to receive the initiation. I’m so happy. Today, I got to meet Master, and in ten days I’ll be going back to Âu Lạc [Vietnam]. I respectfully ask for Your Blessing so that I may return safely and continue my spiritual practice diligently. I sincerely wish Master happiness and strength to continue guiding sentient beings. Thank You, Master. I wish Master great joy and success in leading all beings.) I wish you even more joy.

OK. Âu Lạc (Vietnam) may be poor, but when you go back and see someone kind or nice, give them a little something. Nothing wrong with that, right? Sometimes people give pens or gifts, or (vegan) chocolate, can you give that? OK. They also like to bring it back for the kids. I always have a pile of (vegan) chocolate in my car like a mountain. When I see someone nice… Sometimes the people sitting in the booths, the ones collecting road tolls, they sit there all day – no fresh air, poor things – so I “throw” a box of (vegan) chocolate at them, they’re very happy. It’s not worth much, but they like it. They like it. That’s not bribery.
