In today’s news, Sweden contributes more than US$7.8 million to support women and children in Ethiopia, US-led study reveals thousands of animal-folk species threatened by global warming, visits to island in Denmark help students focus and relax, pioneering farm in United States receives biocyclic vegan certification, man saves driver from burning vehicle in China, Canadian vegan fast-food franchise announces partnership with convenience store chain, and government of Malta invites youth to volunteer at animal-citizens shelters.

Have you considered the kind act of taking a new rescue home? I’d like to share a helpful tip for those of you with canine companions. The majority of dog-people have a natural instinct to do some amount of digging due to anxiety or fear, boredom, excess energy, comfort-seeking reasons, the desire to hide possessions, and to leave or gain access to an area. Although it can be frustrating if your dog-companion digs in your yard, try to figure out why they’re doing it and then work towards eliminating that cause. Spend more quality time with them, allow them to exercise more, and work on additional training. If they continue to dig, designate an area where they can dig freely, like a sandbox and train them that it is acceptable to only dig in this space.

Just hold on for a moment as the joke of the day is about to make its entrance. It’s entitled “How to Impress Absolutely No One at a Meeting.”

During a meeting, the bosses held a contest to name a new project. As members of the management team looked through the entries, the CEO picked one out and asked:

“Who knows what a phoenix is?”

A junior manager answered:

“Oh, I know! It’s a bird in Harry Potter books!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Lainey in the United States
