Devotion to Isis evolved into a mystery religion whose initiates sought sacred knowledge concerning life, death, and rebirth. Initiation was a solemn and carefully regulated process, involving a purification that included abstention from all animal-people meat, wine, and strict chastity.
Her Majesty Cleopatra VII Philopator, Queen of Egypt, had a strong connection to the Goddess Isis. In some historical texts, Queen Cleopatra declares Herself as the reincarnation of Isis, and She officially adopted the title Nea Isis (“the New Isis”).
One of our Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association members (all vegans), Chien-Ching, shares her inner experience about the amazing connection between Queen Cleopatra and Goddess Isis:
During the global meditation hour on May 20, 2021, I saw, in an inner meditation vision, the childhood sacred experience of Cleopatra VII in ancient Egypt. One day, little Cleopatra, about seven years old, accidentally fell into the Nile River. She entered a Divine realm where a Celestial messenger led Her to the front of a majestic shrine on the astral plane in the Nile, and the shrine was emitting golden Light. The little Princess was stunned by the huge, mysterious, ancient Egyptian-style shrine. The messenger told Her, “This is your Divine revelation.” She looked around and walked up the golden staircase with delighted amazement. Step by step, She carefully and cautiously entered the doors of the Divine temple. Everything in the shrine was either made of gold or inlaid with various gems. It was a dazzling sight. Even the palace where the little Princess lived couldn’t compare to it, so everything was new and novel to Her.
As She looked around here and there, a Goddess suddenly appeared in front of Her! The Goddess’s long black hair cascaded like a waterfall, and Her golden body was beautiful. She had a band on Her head, with a pendant hanging on Her forehead, and She wore a well-fitted, glamorously shiny evening gown. She called herself Goddess Isis. I had never heard of this Goddess before. But it suddenly came to me that She was wearing the silver and gold dresses Supreme Master Ching Hai wore at the “Go! Go! Go!” concert! I realized those two spaghetti-strap gown ensembles were the manifestations of Goddess Isis from ancient Egyptian legend!
Goddess Isis was the protector of women, children, slaves, the oppressed, sinners, and the dead. According to ancient Egyptian legend, Cleopatra VII was the incarnation of Goddess Isis. And it turned out to be true. Supreme Master Ching Hai was not only Goddess Isis but also Cleopatra VII. When Master was singing in the Goddess Isis dress, She sometimes grasped the cape with both hands to make a flying pose. That represented the Goddess Isis’s protective wings for all beings! One of Master’s previous looks also highly matched that of Goddess Isis’, including the curvy draping design around the neckline and the upright throne-like hairstyle. They were all God’s hints of Hiers own identity.
At this moment, little Cleopatra involuntarily entered the golden body of Goddess Isis. They became one, and the combined two then transformed into a male God with a golden body, Who then turned into Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian), and solemnly declared, “I will lead my people toward the Temple of Light.” It was a mysteriously fantastic phenomenon. Though the Three had merged into One, the golden body of Lord Jesus still said to the little Cleopatra next to Him, “I will follow your footsteps. (Cleopatra’s time was about 30 to 69 years before Lord Jesus.) I will follow Your way. We three are One.” That means Goddess Isis, Cleopatra VII, and Lord Jesus – the three of Them are One! The vision was extremely glorious and dazzling. Although three indistinct forms appeared to be present, it was impossible to distinguish Their individual appearances – yet They were simultaneously One and the same. It’s really hard to put into words!
They all blessed the little Princess, Who was then in Her physical body, and said to Her, “There is going to be extreme hardship in your whole life, because You represent Goddess Isis and will become Lord Jesus in the future. Both Your Lights will shine upon people in the world.” As the Light grew brighter and stronger, the Three completely merged into One, and then God in Heaven spoke in a solemnly majestic voice, “Exodus is also Me (meaning Moses)! For a long time, I’ve been watching over the people of this land! Now let’s see what this little Girl can do for everyone!” Then, They immediately pushed the little Girl out of the Trinity and let Her stand outside on Her own. Together, Goddess Isis and future Lord Jesus Christ said to Her, “You will glorify God.” Then the little Princess naturally knew how to sit cross-legged to meditate. Her face was still that of a seven-year-old girl, but Her body became mature as if Her childhood and adulthood were overlapping.
Having finished meditation, the little Princess stood up and said, “I will use my love to nourish this land of Egypt. The water of the Nile is my Love, which endlessly flows non-stop every day. This kind of Love has never stopped since the dawn of time. My mission in this life is to help my people to obtain a better status and favorable circumstances. I will do my best and make the happiness of my people my top priority in whatever I do.” Then, Jesus Christ and Goddess Isis disappeared behind Her. Little Cleopatra then returned to a more human consciousness. The shrine slowly dimmed down and faded away behind Her, and a large gentle palm slowly pushed and sent the little Princess out of the shrine. From Heaven, a voice predicted, She is going to wear “the golden headdress and mask of Pharoah.” At this time, Her physical body was still immersed in the water of the Nile. A big hand under Her feet lifted Her up above the water in upright standing posture. As the big hand sent Her to the shore, the little Princess went up the ashore quickly. Extremely amazed at heart, She wondered, “How could there be such a Divine revelation?”
